I am selling this Lincoln Idealarc 250 AC/DC welder. This is the famously bulletproof"Tombstone" welding machine. This machine welds and welds very well! I have it wired to run on 220V single phase power and tested it that way. But it will run on either 220V or 260V single phase. All you have to do is swap one lead between the transformer primary side to the main power switch and insulate the one you don't use. Parts are readily available from Lincoln and others. Many users even restore theirs. Despite their age, these are still popular the world over with professionals and tinkerers alike. Out of four of these machines, it is a duplicate of this one I am keeping for my own shop for when things get serious. I hate to sell this welder but I have been carrying this around for 2 years and feel it would be better for someone to buy it who will use it. I purchased the welder from a surplus sale about 10- 15 years ago and ran it up to about 2 years ago. I had a small weld shop in the south east. This welder was the work horse of the shop. This welder has welded allot of aluminium. Stainless, copper nickel, and carbon steel. It has made its money back 3000 times. The machine is good, the TIG system works great, I have even used it with a miller wire feed system as the primary power source. Machine comes with a 300 amp Jackson stinger that is approximately 25 foot. the pig tail is 14 feet with a attached ground that is approximately 12 feet with an additional ground extinction of another 12 feet. I can lay a nice bead with it and the High Frequency Start makes it very easy to start the arc. I know if it is in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. It will be a super machine.
