This unit can be set to any desired frequency from about 100Khz to 110 Mhz via a 6 position range switch and and adjustable vernier dial and pointer. It produces either unmodulated or modulated(400hz tone) RF frequencies with adjustable attenuation via a 3 position coarse and a continuously variable fine attenuation control. This unit is useful anywhere an AM modulated or unmodulated RF signal between 100Khz and 110 Mhz is needed like: testing filter circuits. Adjusting tuners, receivers. shortwave radios, transceivers and any other kinds of frequency sensitive circuit devices. A needed tool for most any workbench! This is a very nice clean EIP/ Phase Matrix microwave signal generator. Model 931. I have owned and used this for a few years and it works well. It will output frequencies from 0.01GHz to 18.6GHz with over range to 20GHz. It will sweep frequency, power, markers, either automatically or manually. All parameters are adjustable via a front panel interface or via the GPIB buss. The only anomaly the instrument has is that it will not deliver the called for power across the full band. It will for the most part but there are some low spots. It will deliver about 9dB for the full range. When used with the 57X series of EIP source locking counters it is a very stable frequency source.
