HP 432A RF Power Meter with HP 478A Sensor Head.
Here we have a Hewlett Packard 432A rf power meter with HP 478A sensor head tested and working fine. I've applied signals from my Marconi 2019A into the sensor the results are shown in the photos. Please bear in mind my Marconi is not calibrated. The 432A does drift when measuring low power levels.But in my experience this is usual for this type of instrument. I just leave it switched on for a few hours and use the fine zero switch. There is a plethora of information available on the internet for this instrument. I have found it to be a very rugged and reliable piece of equipment. I'm very happy to accept returns. You are welcome to collect. I believe the small probe with metalic end is for temperature and the wire appears to have been spliced. final probe I really do not think it is in working condition. Nor what it is for. plastic caps on both ends of tube, Innards of tube do no look very good. and one endcap is on with masking tape and rubber band. Your guess is better than mine on this one. Probably garbage, but leaving it in and you can decided if you get this listing. Meter uses a 9v battery and I do not have one to test the unit. Buffers for calibration are out of date so would not be able to test any of this without a serious shopping trip. I did use at least some of these probes and the meter about 12 years ago. Hello Everyone, This auction is for a used. But in good condition Keithley 36150 Radiation Meter Ion Chamber. I purchased this ion chamber on ebay a few years ago and used it in a medical physics setting. I used it at my radiation clinics for vault surveys. The meter was last calibrated on February 16, 2011 and it works great. I just now tested it out at work again and the meter does function as it should. We've never had any issues with this radiation meter and it has always worked so very well for us. This is battery powered, operates on 1- 9V battery. This type of meter is generally used for surveys of either Linear Accelerator, X-ray, CT, or any type of Brachytherapy/Nuclear Medicine type room. This can be used in either exposure mode(200 mR/hr to 20 R/hr) or integrate mode(200 uR/hr to 20mR) There is also a zero and background function. ... moreCosmetically, this is in good shape. There is one small crack(please look at the pictures) in the front corner housing where the screen and dials are, but this in no way impacts the functionality of the unit. This has been sealed with a plastic sealant, the crack will still be there but at least it wont get worse. You will also see two smalls screw holes on one side of the unit, this is where a faceplate used to be, again this wont affect the functionality of the unit at all, but just a cosmetic flaw. The screen is fully intact and functions just fine. The dials are intact and they do work. The internal ion chamber, the front window, and the buildup cap are also intact and fully functional.
