OK.This should be interesting. Up for auction is a vintage Hewlett Packard 200C Audio Oscillator and Poster. The 200C is untouched except for the power cord. Looks like the power cord has been replaced. I have not attempted to turn it on because I am sure the electrolytic capacitors would be damaged. This would need to either have the electrolytic caps replaced or brought back to life slowly using a variac. My plan was to restore it and have it as a display piece in my shop. The item that really makes this action interesting is the 25 X 25 inch framed advertising for the original HP 200B that put Hewlett Packard on the map. This poster was professional framed and hung in an HP Sales Office. I won't say which one. I worked for HP for 18 years and have had the honor of meeting both Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard. HP calls this a"vinyl storage pouch" in their mid-1970s catalogs and designed it to hold probes, cables, manuals, and accessories. The bag is 10x13 inches in size(250x340 mm) The outside is vinyl and the inside is some soft fuzzy material that won't scratch. Four grommets are provided for attaching the bag to the top of an oscilloscope. The hole spacing is 9x11 inches(230x285 mm) The flap closure is Velcro®. Obviously this bag can be used for any instrument or by itself. It expands enough to hold something 1 inch(25 mm) thick for the full width and length(such as an operating/service manual) or even thicker if not so wide/long.
