This is a Mercury 1400 capacitor tester. Made by Mercury Electronics Corporation in the 1960's. Tests capacitors and also in circuit testing of capacitors. Auction includes the original box and manual and warranty card. Box.card.manual are worn. Tester is in amazing condition with a scratch on the front on the right of the eye tube and some marks under the main control that look like some lacquer thinner hit them. Case paint is amazing with original sparkle even on the underneath side. Handle wonderful condition. The inside looks as new. I tested a 20 and 30 MFD capacitor and they test good.
