Tektronix TDS420 150MHz 4 channel Digital Scope
All 4 channels seem to work(although the connector on Ch. 2 is a little loose) and it passes self test( see pictures) I'm not familiar with these older TDS scopes but it seems a little flaky. Unless I'm doing something wrong. When I change the signal amplitude, it will show the correct setting on the scope(i.e. 200mV, 500mV) but the signal does not change unless I un-trigger it, and then trigger it again. We were able to get both channels to autotune on a 60MHz signal with no difficulty. then on 100MHz. ... moreWe kept turning up the frequency and the scope kept displaying and counting signals(but with decreasing amplitude onscreen) all the way to 250MHz and above. The counter started showing" at higher frequencies, and the waveform started to go wobbly around 200MHz. 300MHz was impossible. for this 60MHz scope, that seems pretty good to us. Up for auction we have a mini oscilloscope model DS203. I acquired this unit second hand and haven't done anything with it at all for months. I recently gave it a charge and fired it up and it just seems that the probes are a little flaky as they are either too tight or too loose when plugged into channels A and B. As you can see. I did get the appearance of a square wave to come up on the screen using its own wave out on channel A.I cannot get anything to happen on channel B. Basically this unit has two analog channels and 2 digital channels. It comes with two probes and a soft carry case that holds the oscilloscope.
