HP 16500C / 16500B 512MB Flash disk - HDD Replacement
This is a 512MB Flash drive which is preloaded with HP/Agilent 16500C Software. It is the latest version from the Agilent Website. This drive works perfectly. I just pulled it out to upgrade my 16500C drive size. Also flash) I honestly cannot tell whether this drive makes it boot faster or not, but certainly there is no moving part to die(and those drives are old; This is what you'd need to replace if the logic analyzer reports a hard disk failure. I am confident it would work for a 16500B as well. As I had upgraded my previous 16500B with a flash drive. But you would need to load it again from floppy. This is a 2.5" drive. If desired. I can get a 2.5" 3.5" bracket for mounting it easy into the Logic Analyzer- at cost at my local Microcenter. It does come with the 44- 40 pin adapter though.

This unit is actually a re-labeled Thurlby LA-160B with a Version 50 ROM and the LR64 upgrade(which means all of the upgraded features are available and you can plug it in to a computer) The max capture rate of the B-series is 20Mhz and the LA-160 captures across 16 channels. The LA-160 also accepts an external clock. Two clock enable lines, four external trigger enable lines and an external trigger arm line.
