Here we have a used cable pulling grip designed for use with aerial and other non-conduit applications. It can be used with any type of cable with an outside diameter of.18" through.55" This type of grip works best with bare cable. It can be used with insulated cable but will usually damage the insulation at the point the grip is attached. It has an 8000 pound load rating. Made in Chicago. Illinois, USA by M. Klein and Sons. This grip is used but is in good working condition. It came out of the toolroom from our former electrical contracting business. I personally used this grip many times in the installation of overhead power lines and guy wires. It has green paint on it which was the identifying color used on all our tools. There is some minor surface rust on the grip as well but it is in good working condition. The spring loaded ... moresliding mechanism works easily.
