I've owned this unit for about 16 years now and it's been a solid performer until about 2 years ago when it stopped working. It was also calibrated in about 2008 and saw light daily use since then. No blown fuses and it powers up but no trace. All main board supply voltages are OK but the storage board voltages are all 0. After a bit of hemming and hawing. I kind of decided that don't have the time to fix it. One quick thing. The A trigger pot had the polarity switch knob clumsily broken as I was moving the scope to take the pictures. It's just the knob and the pot and switch are both OK. If you're looking for one to fix up. The supplied plugins are a 7A18 75 MHz bandwidth 2-channel vertical amplifier, a 7A15 80 MHz bandwidth 1-channel vertical amplifier, a 7D10 Digital Events Delay, and a 7B53 100 MHz horizontal amplifier. The unit powers on and works fine. In the pictures I show the calibration source split and sent to the three vertical input channels for demonstration purposes. Cosmetically ... morethe unit is in fairly nice shape. No major dents or gouges in the case. It is used, and as such, there are very few light scratches consistent with normal wear and tear, a few marks here and there. The only real cosmetic issue with the unit is on the back it appears to have been hit on the top BNC connector, which is dented in slightly. There is no problem or malfunction of the unit due to this minor problem, and since it's on the back panel, it's not visible during normal operation(see pictures) The other issue is the center"variable" knob on the 7A15 vertical plugin has been broken off, and is missing. The CRT screen is in very nice condition and does not have any visible phosphor burns, and there is a fair amount of reserve brightness. The unit is quite heavy, and the shipping is expensive on this unit. Because I am not a certified calibration laboratory, I can not guarantee the operation of the unit beyond its basic function. The scope is a solid state portable instrument that combines small size and light weight with the ability to make precision waveform measurements. It is designed for general purpose applications where display storage is desired along with conventional(non-store) operation. It is a dual-channel DC-to-25 MHz vertical system and provides calibrated deflection factors from 1 millivolt to 10 volts/division. The trigger circuits provide stable triggering over the full range of vertical frequency response although this unit triggers reliably to 50 MHz(not guaranteed) as shown in the second picture. The horizontal deflection system provides calibrated unmagnified sweep rates from 5 seconds to 0.2 μ sec.division. This unit has option 1 which provides 5 Div/ μ sec. The ... moreunit is a clean working oscilloscope and comes with a front cover. The traces are bright and clear and focus properly. All knobs and switches seem to work correctly. I have checked out the unit which seems to closely track both frequency and amplitude of my high-end synthesized signal generator. Although unfamiliar with the storage operation. I have played with it and it seems to store signals although they appear light after storage. This may be due to needing adjustment/calibration. Last calibration due date on the cabinet sticker shows it is past due for calibration. Overall this is a nice scope and would be a nice addition to any Lab or anyone’s Electronics Workshop or Ham Radio Shack. This unit is in good physical shape as shown by the pictures. Unit serial number is B516052. The unit is vintage test equipment so cannot be guaranteed to be in calibration but will be functionally checked again just prior to packaging for shipment.
