Unfortunatly the insulation on the BNC cable has aged quite a bit and has started to crack to the point where there are a few spots where insulation can be seen. The previous owner taped up one section of the cable to cover this. The connectors look a little tarnished and dingy. But nothing major. Every other aspect of this unit looks nice. There is even a little bit of Flourocarbon 114 left in the probe. Because we are unable to test this and the worn insulation on the BNC cable we are forced to list this as a parts/repair unit. For your consideration is a used RCA WG297 High Voltage probe for a VOM. This probe was originally designed for measuring the high voltage of picture tubes in TV sets. The probe contains a 900 Megohm resistor. It was designed for use with a VOM on the 5000 volt scale with a 20K ohm per volt sensitivity. When used with such a VOM it provides a 10X scaling factor according to RCA documents found on the web. It terminated with a red banana plug for the positive input of the VOM. A black banana plug for the ground for the VOM, and a black alligator clips for the circuit under test. Overall nice condition with some light scratches.
