We just used the data divided by memory to normalize the display before connecting the filter. As these things go, this display looks pretty good at reduced brightness. This display has seen light usage since about 1995, the year I obtained it, and has performed with no noticeable degradation throughout that time. I have used it at 25% brightness for all that time and it has worked just fine for me. The photos were taken mere moments before pulling the display. They were taken in average light, and are quite representative of what you may expect. Note: scratches seen in my photos are not on the CRT, they were on the glass protector. The buyer will also receive a copy of an HP memo that describes an internal HP procedure purported to revive the CRT of these ... moredisplays to improve performance. This was given to me by a friend who retired from HP several years ago. I never tried it. The display worked just fine for me. And I didn't want to play. It does include a connector cable located on the back of the unit. Pictures are of actual item you will receive. Item ships via Fed Ex Smart Post(2-9 Business Days) Item will also ship international via USPS Priority Mail International. Items are generally sent within one business day.
