I don't know much about this. I am not an electrician. I removed from a job at a very large home on Long Island. NY. Unit was already disconnected by electrician. The story I got from estate manager was that they replaced something in the generator/electrical system and this switch was no longer compatible. The estate manager just wanted it removed. So I did. That said, I have no way to test or warranty this item.therefor it is AS-IS. This unit looks to be in excellent condition inside and out. 2 knockouts have been removed. Besides that looks new. This is a 16 circuit Generac Automatic Transfer Switch(ATS) that was removed from a working install. The previous owner had installed 18 breakers in it making it a 18 circuit switch. This is fine as long as you stay within the 100 AMP rating. It came with a used generator that I bought and I did not need it. It works perfect. This is best used in a managed backup setting where you wire in essential circuits such as an AC. Lights in most rooms, fridge, etc. These switches are ideal for people with generators 20,000kw and under or someone with a small house could potentially take over all circuits. As you can see in the actual photos I do not have the wire whip that you see in the Generac description and stock photo I posted. Zenith MT20B-2EH(Kohler part#A246523J) 240volt 200 amp Automatic Transfer Switch it uses a 2 wire start to send the run signal to the generator. This transfer switch is older but im told it is better then the new ones. It was removed from a fire house in working order and is to large amperage wise for my needs. I tested it and it works fine. The unit is to heavy and big to ship so local pick up only. Weight is unknown but maybe like 130 pounds? The cabinet is approx 36" wide by 34" high and 12" deep. This unit will monitor your incoming power and automatically start your generator and switch over to generator power if your main utility goes down. When the main utility power comes back on it will switch over to the main utility and then turn off your generator for you. This unit also has an automatic generator exerciser that will automatically start your generator for a test period set by you to make sure that the generator is working properly. This unit was working fine and was replaced for a larger capacity transfer switch.
