This was professionally welded and painted. Also, the bar that holds the dirt shield on was bent and re-welded with a smaller bar. The dirt shield has stayed on during recent tilling but should be replaced with a longer bar or one that bolts into the tiller as the original did to keep the shield on. There was also a chain that was attached to the shaft that would allow you to wrap it around the tiller and keep it off the ground. The chain connection to the shaft was plastic and this plastic piece broke. I also built a stand for the tiller with caster wheels that you can load the tiller on and use to push it around. This is a used International Harvester/Farmall. Type C Duplex Planter with 5 seed plates. Model# CBP 5130. This item appears to be in good, restorable condition. Has rust and pitting. Does not appear to have any holes in the lid or hopper. No visible cracks in the casting. The lid hinges are bent slightly and will need to be bent back to original condition for the lid to close properly There is a dent in the tin on the Peas side.
