This item is in very good condition. I have no booklet Used to measure FM and TV antennas and transmission lines. The 1602-B is for the measurement of admittance and impedance over a wide frequency range. As a null instrument it can be used to measure the conductance and susceptance of an unknown circuit directly. It can also be used as a comparator to indicate equality of one admittance to another or degree of departure of one from the other. As a direct indicating device it can be used to determine the magnitude of the reflection coefficient on a 50 ohm coaxial line or the magnitude of an unknown impedance for ratios of output voltages read on a meter. It uses three coaxial lines at right angles. One terminated by the unknown admittance and the other two terminated by a pure resistance and a pure rectance. General Radio GenRad 1432-K decade resistance standard. This was bought from the old MPI/Seagate design labs and was used as a design standard so it was well cared for. I have had it over twenty years and used it just a handful of times since. I opened and checked for discolored or out of tolerance resistors. No overheated contacts. Contacts were a little resistive until I cleaned them as recommended. My best calibrated meter is a five digit hp. It tested in specification. When using please be aware of the maximum current ratings on each step. Failure to do so will overheat and damage resistors.

There are some stains, scratches, scuffs and wear due to age but overall this item is in decent physical condition. This oscillator is useful for taking selectivity curves on tuned circuits over a wide range of frequencies.
