These moulds will allow you to easily produce and then sell your own real carbon fibre number plate surrounds. The cost of the materials needed to produce these parts is relatively low and as they are a very easy part to lay-up/ trim/ finish this is an excellent business opportunity for someone. These fibreglass moulds have been professional made. Using high quality tooling resin& gelcoats, they have then been post cured to enable them to withstand operating temperatures of up to 80 degrees C, this means they are suitable for use with pre-preg carbon& vacuum bagging moulding techniques. Alternatively if you aren't able to process pre-preg carbon then they could be used with wet lay-up or resin infusion moulding systems. Also included ... moreis the first prototype pre-preg carbon part I produced from the moulds. This currently has a matt finish as it was made with carbon normally used for structural applications rather than to give a good surface finish, but it could easily be lacquered to give it a high gloss/ professional looking finish. Both moulds need some very minor filling/ sanding repairs before put into use. But this is should only take an hour or so to complete.
