Lot Of 3 HEATHKIT IP-2718 TRI-POWER SUPPLY - Three (3) UNITS
We have plugged in and powered on all of these units as shown in the photos. There is some cosmetic damage to the bottom unit as shown in the photos one of the top edges is bent. That is all of the major cosmetic damage shown to these units. When turning the meter knob from volts to amps the needle does move on all three units. As shown in the photos when the volt setting is at 5 V it seems to be calibrated on all three units. However. When the volt setting is on volt setting a and volt setting b it seems to be differing on all three units. I am not familiar with these systems so it could use some calibrating. When on any amp setting all three read zero. I am assuming that is because nothing is hooked up. I hope my description helps you out. We are not equipped to do any further testing. Buchler 1000vdc regulated power supply Model No. 3-1014A
I bought this Buchler power supply about 5 years ago in unknown condition. I went through all of the components and replaced anything that needed replacing at that time. It has served me well for the past 5 years. There is a picture of this running under load in this advertisement. I used this power supply to test high voltage vacuum tubes. Usually running the tubes at 211 triode specifications of 1000vdc at about 50mA or so. It works fine for my purposes. Having said that. It is old and it could fail at any time. So, it is being sold“as is” with no returns accepted. The reason for selling is that I have upgraded to a more sophisticated supply with tighter regulation. You will notice from the pics that this uses some nice big high voltage oil caps in the filter of the supply. Those are desirable parts for other projects. I cannot say how ... moreaccurate the meters are because I always ran this using external modern meters for both voltage and current. Both meters do work. But I wouldn't trust them to be very accurate. Please note. This weighs 49 lbs without packaging. You may end up paying more for shipping than for the item if it requires shipping. LAMBDA 71 HIGH VOLTAGE POWER SUPPLY 0-500 VDC MAIN 0-200VDC BIAS 6.3/13VAC
Lambda 71 high voltage power supply. All voltages tested good, DC volt meter is accurate, DC milliamperes meter is good but was not tested for accuracy, two tubes were replaced to bring this in to operating condition. The main voltage potentiometer operates smooth, the BIAS potentiometer will need replaced, the bias voltage jumps from low to high voltage and the pot appears to have a shorted winding, the pot is marked 20K ohm and is wire wound and possibly 7 watts, I do not have a schematic to verify, I have a good used 25K potentiometer that may work with some minor modification to the layout behind the front panel- no guarantee, the diameter and width of my 25K pot are a bit larger than the original, if the buyer wants it I will include it for free- just ask after purchase. Inside is a bit dusty/dirty- nothing real bad, the front panel ... morelooks good and all controls function except for the aforementioned BIAS pot, the metal cover shows some minor surface rust but no damage, the handle shows wear, this weighs just under 48 pounds and measures 15" by 9" by 13" tall before packaging.
