EICO Model 944 Flyback Transformer and Yoke Tester with Manuals
You are bidding on an EICO model 944 flyback& yoke tester for TV and computer repair. A flyback transformer and yoke tester is a convenient tool for confirming whether a high voltage transformer or deflection yoke is good or should be rejected as bad. Flybacks and yokes are found in almost every piece of electronic equipment using a cathode ray tube(CRT) Including TV sets and many computers built before flat panel displays became common. This particular tester is an EICO 944. Serial number 14099. It comes with all the original paperwork including the construction manual and the operating manual(photo 3) This unit is in good cosmetic condition(see photos) But has a broken meter needle(photo 2) The needle doesn't reach all the way to the scale and the broken segment is loose inside the meter housing. In spite of this the tester powers ... moreup and the needle position can be adjusted using the left hand knob. I did not try this tester on flybacks or yokes, because the meter will have to be repaired or replaced before it can be put back into service and used effectively. The 944 is a handy tool. I have another one in my electronics shop and use it every time I suspect a bad flyback or yoke in a TV set or computer display. Here is a vintage B& K CRT 465 tube tester. It is in very good condition. Works and is complete with manuals, box and interchangeable tube receivers. As you can see. The power light comes on and the needle moves. The unit was working the day I got it. Which was only a couple days before this listing. The case is in good shape with the normal wear and tear you would expect from a protective case. The manuals include 4 set up charts. 3 from 1966 and one from 1969. There is a parts list, upgrade letter from B& K and the original instruction manual. All of these are in good condition and housed under the cover of the tester. It is in very good condition. This is used to test and rejuvenate B&W and Color TV CRT cathode ray vacuum tubes. It can test for two types of leakage, emissions, color tracking and shorts. It can clear shorts and has three rejuvenate functions including a Super Rejuvenate function. This would be very handy if you are restoring vintage tube television sets. The case has very minor wear from use and some pitting or rust on the hinges and latches. The handle is in good shape. Vintage Heathkit Transistor Checker Tester Meter Model IT-18 in Case Works!
For your consideration is this vintage Heathkit Transistor Checker/ Tester Meter Model IT-18 in brown plastic case. Cosmetically this piece of test equipment looks brand new and is in very good condition. The only sign of age is the paper on the inside lid showing various transistors that has some light age yellowing. The meter. Switches and knobs are in very good condition and test leads look new as well. I replaced the single D-Cell battery(new battery included) in the unit and performed the step-by-step calibration procedure I found on the Internet and it is calibrated and appears to be in good working order. The proper calibration resistor is included and attached to the battery clip. I don't have the manual for it, just the calibration process and a schematic I found online, which I will include with it. Up for your consideration is a Vintage Accurate Instruments Model 159 Tube Tester and Rejuvenator. The model 159 CRT Tube Tester is especially designed to test both B&W and Color magnetically deflected picture tubes. The model 159 will also indicate when the tube is failing and allows you to rejuvenate it also. The manual is in good condition and explains how to use this thing except I don't understand it. The case is wood and covered with a plastic material or something not sure but the reason I mentioned it was that the covering has degraded on at least 30% of the case. I don't have any tubes to test nor would I have a clue as to going about that test however I did plug it in and turn it on and when I pressed the quality and leak button the light came on.
