This is a very nice used EXTECH Digital Sound Level Meter. The meter has a sound level readout in dB as well as a bargraph that shows the sound level in graphical form. You can see from the front pictures what the various buttons do. It is great to take the unit to a store or a construction site and measure the noise level. The specifications for the meter are shown below. I have used this meter to balance my home theater speakers and it works great. Sometime ago the meter lost its original battery cover and I made one from a piece of black plastic. You can see this in the backside picture. It doesn't detract from the operation or the looks of the unit. The unit comes with the sound output cord and a CDROM with the operating instructions that I downloaded from the internet. Here's a Bruel& Kjaer model 2209 Impulse Precision Sound Level Meter with a 4145 1" microphone and a 1616 1/3 octave filter set attached. This meter's in pretty good looking condition. It does have some little scuffs and scrapes. The biggest mark on it is on the left side of body near the microphone and is shown close up in one of the pictures above. The filter set's battery compartment is clean. Although the meter itself has some signs of corrosion in there. I put in some batteries and tried it. And everything seems to at least work, the needle moves, the filters seems to be filtering the bandwidths, the peak hold settings hold, and so on. The bulbs all work. Of course I can't verify the calibration, but it doesn't seem to have any problems as far as I can tell. I am selling these for parts or not working because there are some issues with all of them. First off all 4 have cracked screens. Two of the units are missing the battery covers but all of the cases are all in decent shape with just some scuffs and scratches. I was only able to get one of the units to power on as shown in the picture. The battery terminals are all pretty clean except for one of the units has some corrosion in it.
