The reason I have it listed as-is. For parts is because it is missing the carry handle, the socket for the AC cord is broken off its' mounting ears, and the tuning knob is pushed in a little which makes it a little tricky to tune. But as you see from the pictures. it does seem to work. It recieves Channel 20 analog here in Chicago quite well even without an antenna! It comes with the soft case pictured, Oh and I don't think the battery is in it. if it is, then it is probably dead anyways.

50+ year old Cathode Evaluator tube made by Varian Associates. This tube was an evaluator for the enormous Klystron Tube in the field of radar back in the 1960's. I have a picture of the Klystron tube'somewhere' and will post it on discovery. It stood about 4' to 5' tall and was probably the largest in it's day. I also have a picture of the fellow who made the evaluator and a'Scientific Glassblowing' book that belonged to him which will also be made available in a photo.
