This is a good instrument to diagnose electrical circuit/ experiment problems or to locate a bad component in an amplifier. Stereo, radio, etc since you can actually"see" how a particular component is working, not working well, or simply not working at all. And it helps to be able to see two channels at once so you can compare signals, such as input and output. For example in an amplifier circuit you can look at the input and work backwards from the output to see where the fault lies. Also two signals are essential for comparing stereo signals or for comparing digital with the clock/ trigger signal. The Hitachi V212 Operation Manual contains complete operator instructions including how to set it up for the first time(page 15 of the manual) and how to obtain displays for AC and DC voltage. Frequency, time difference, and rise and fall times. The two independent channels may be used for X-Y measurements. Two channel measurements at different frequencies may be also measured. Please see pictures taken from the Operation Manual for more information regarding the capabilities and controls. The photographs of the scope are recent and both channels work. This scope was hardly ever used- I used it as a student. Dimensions are approximately 12.4 x 5.2 x 14.8 inches. This is a great instrument for any repair technician. A lot of stuff we get from h ere works fine. See a lot of great positive feedbacks we have gotten from these. And haven't been tested and sold as parts/repair, so must have been pretty good! I am not a technician, but I did plug it in and it fired up okay. F irst powered up and showed a trace on the grid. I moved the trace left/right. Up/down. Increased/decreased intensity. Adjusted the focus, etc. I decided to turn a few switches and came up with two different traces, since it is a dual trace oscope. First picture has a dual trace in the center of the display, where I adjusted the traces so they were above and below the 0 grid.There is not much else I can do to test this since I have no probes. Machine looks great and looks like it would run just fine. B ut since I can't test. Will be selling as a parts/repair unit and sold AS IS. Goodwill working oscilloscope 2 channel Nice! Working/Tested
Normal minor scratches but looks very presentable and clean with most of the attaching hardware. Tested and Everything seems to work. I have tested both channels for pulse width and waveforms amplitude and time. Works fine. The oscope provided will have to be tuned/adjusted with the fine screwdriver adjustment control on it as it will not be adjusted by me. It is new. Standard procedure stuff. This is a nice clean 20Mhz oscope made by Goodwill. It looks good and works well. I will include one scope probe and one coax cable with this nice 2 channel oscope. As well as a power cable. I have some other signal generators. Oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and other test equipment that has to go as well. Please see my other listings. I am changing this from no refund to a refund but only under the following conditions; This asset has to be returned ... morewithin the 14 day timeframe. Up for bids. An excellent, and 100% functional Tektronix 2430A Digital 150 MHz 2-Channel Storage Oscilloscope, with power cord and CD softcopy of the operator's and service manuals. No probes or other accessories are included, but the Tektronix scope cart in the photos is available for an additional $50 plus additional shipping costs(cart will be dismantled and packaged with the scope for lowest possible shipping cost-please contact me if you are interested in acquiring the cart with the scope) This is a particularly fine oscilloscope, in excellent condition and super clean inside and out. Exterior has normal expected minor scratches and wear, but front panel is pristine. Unit is formerly military equipment and has a clear plastic screen rather than the usual blue Tektronix filter screen-the CRT display is not"naked" and does ... moreindeed have a proper plastic screen in front of it. I have replaced the 2 non-volatile RAM chips(Dallas#DS1235YW) with new chips. With fresh built-in lithium batteries, and installed DIP chip sockets in place of the old, dead-battery, soldered-in NVRAM chips. The unit passes its power on self-check tests perfectly, and also holds its calibration perfectly. An excellent early-90's measurement instrument for a fraction of its original price! Unfortunately. I do not know this unit's last calibration date, but it compares accurately with readings taken with my calibrated scope, and I offer no further guarantee of accuracy. Please contact me for more information, and I shall be happy to provide photos of the interior if desired and of the replaced NVRAMs seated in their new sockets.
