This scope powers up and I was able to get both traces to show up! That's about all I can do as far as testing this though. This is a Hitachi model V-1065 2 channel 100MHz analog oscilloscope with probes. I am the original owner. I purchased this scope new for my personal lab in 1990 for $1695(approximately $3000 in today's dollars) As such. I considered it to be a valuable asset and I cared for it accordingly. The entire scope is very clean and has very few blemishes. It does not have a fan, so dust has not been actively sucked-through it, and it comes from a smoke-free home. Everything functions as new. The switches and knobs are very crisp and smooth. And none are flakey. Scratchy, intermittent, or otherwise erratic. The screen is exceptionally sharp and clear with no burn-in. There is no discernable yellowing of the plastics and there are no asset tags and no sticker residue anywhere on the scope. This is still a great scope for"poking around" ... moreand it has seen me through many projects. Experiments, and repair jobs over the years. It is very responsive and easy to use. It is ready to go within 15 seconds of power-on. I recently upgraded to a high-end digital scope and I would keep this one if I had more bench space. At the time. This oscilloscope was purchased from a knowledgeable seller, unit#3 of 5 units they had available. I had originally intended to learn repair work but that opportunity never materialized. Therefore this scope was never used by me. I selected this particular model after much research and recommendations from industry techs with a history of repairing recent equipment and vintage components. The Tektronix 465B Oscilloscope was considered the industry standard in 100MHz portable oscilloscopes for many years and still remains very desirable today. The unit has a white sticker on top that says"calibrated" ... moreso it's been bench tested for accuracy at some point. I am not familiar with how this unit functions. Therefore the unit must be sold as is, however the unit powers on fine and appears to work as it should. Extra time was taken to research and purchase the correct genuine Tektronix test probes and instruction manual that are best compatiable with the Tektronix 465B.
