This is a reclaimed heart pine beam that was salvaged from a NC textile mill that was built in 1904. That along with the fact the beams were 100-150 years old when cut make these beams at least 200- 250 years old. The quality and the condition are incredible. But are sanded both sides so they may be hung front or plain back out. They are exactly 3/4' thick, and in two widths, 5.1/2' and 7.1/8' from tongue edge to groove edge. Approx 15 of the pieces have been sealed with shellac on the routed side. Up for auction is a beautiful Fireplace mantle. I think its from the early 1900's. Came out of an old house being torn down in 1950. Measures 60" x 49" and 29" deep. There is a gargoyle on each side. 1860 Log cabin hand hewed logs with pegs from Kansas. We marked the logs for easy reassembly and moved this cabin to Missouri. After 37 years its time for it to find a new home.It survived all kinds of turmoil through the 1800's. I have the diagram from when it was taken apart and reassembled. Offered for auction is a vintage hay elevator system also know as a rack lifter. This is a very unique elevator system in that it was manufactured with two wheels. Typically when you do find these vintage rack lifters they only have one wheel. This system was built in the late 1800s and was removed from a barn in Moline Michigan. The main beams are 10 inches tall by 15 inches wide and stretch 27 feet long. The center to center distance on the wheels is 19 feet. These are generally short boards, about 1" thick. This is a large box full of them, that measures 28" x 22" x 8" It's 70 pounds of wood.that's a lot of wood. I cut a lot of different species in my shop. Aromatic Red Cedar, Red Oak, White Oak, Maple, Ash, Walnut, Cherry, Purpleheart, and more. This is a box of some of those species. These are a pack of scrap boards created after doing custom orders for other customers. Some of these boards may be uneven. Or have a cup to them.
