This is a used Air Cooled Condenser from a Scotsman AFE400 ice machine. The exact model that it came out of was AFE400A-1H. Please confirm this for yourself. But from the diagram I found online, this is part 18-8844-01 It was removed by cutting the copper tubing at the weld points. As can be seen in the photos. ice machine SCOTSMAN CME-1202AE, air cooled 208-230v, works!
Here we have a Scotsman CME-1202AE commercial ice machine. In working order. I got it at the clearing auction of a convention center/arena in Omaha. This is an air cooled machine, so even though I have no water supply near my 240v outlet, I was able to test it by manually filling the water sump from a bucket, and it does indeed work. All the ice columns released well before the thaw cycle was over, so I think the plating is fine. I included a closeup picture. The solenoid also correctly detects obstruction and shuts down the machine after the thaw cycle, and also starts up again if you remove the obstruction. The one thing I could not test was the water inlet solenoid(since I was not getting the water through that line) So, it's possible the solenoid could be non-functional, but it's not an expensive part. I did notice the water inlet ... moreopening on the back, where you would connect the supply line, was pretty heavily mineralized, so you might also want to do a good cleanout of the water supply line. I have three other machines as well. One of which also works, the other two seem to do everything but cool. I think that either the fan control sensors are bad, or the refrigerant pressure is low. If you're interested in those machines as well, let me know, we can make a good package deal. I have a water cooled Hoshizaki machine as well(listed separately) And beyond that. I also have five Follett 1300 lb ice bins, so let me know if you're also needing a bin. From a state surplus sale. We have here a Hoshizaki KM1200SWE ice machine. Serial number indicates it was made around January of 1998. This is from the clearing auction of a convention center/arena in Omaha that is being prepped for demolition. This is a water cooled model, and I do not have a water hookup in my warehouse space anywhere near the 240v outlet. As such, I could not actually test it. I was told by the facilities manager for the building that they last used the machine this June(2014) the last time they had a convention in that space. As such, I'm selling it as working, and if it's not it can be returned for a refund. At this same auction I also got four similar Scotsman machines, and 5 Follett 1300 lb bins. It is overall in pretty decent cosmetic condition with some marks and scratches from normal kitchen use. Please see pictures below for more information on the condition of this item. We were able to power this unit on by wiring into our 230VAC power supply. We then connected a water supply to the ice machine for further testing. After starting the freeze cycle with the controller the machine ran through a complete cycle and ice was produced. Please note that we did not test this ice machine over a long period of time.
