Here we have up for auction a Mine Safety Appliances McDonald T aluminum hard hat. This would make an excellent addition to anyone's collection. Item could be worn but is best suited for collectible purposes as it does not meet current MSHA or OSHA safety standards. This hard hat is in good condition with no dents or dings and only a few very minor scratches. There is a name sticker(made with a label maker) on the front of the hard hat. Hat in overall good condition. Shows one small nick on the brim. No cracks. Liner is adjustable and soft. Shows some light scratches here& there but nothing major as you can see in the pictures. Marked on the underside brim MSA and has the MSA SKULLGUARD sticker in the top of the helmet. Nice helmet with plenty of use left in it. I don't see a size in it but I believe the liner adjustment is set at size 7 right now because of the way it fits me and has plenty of room to go bigger or smaller. Email me with any questions. Up for your consideration we have a vintage coal miner's skull guard fiberglass helmet hat. It is about 6.5" tall and the inside fitment area measures about 9" long front to back and 7" wide inside from side to side. It's in pretty good condition with some scratching from normal use. It is missing its light mount on front and the lacing that goes right above the rim. We have recently purchase d a major estate of a serious collector of all things unique. Vintage and antique. This collection has been compiled over the course of the past sixty years and has so much to offer. Vintage MSA Skullgard Brown Hardhat Millwright Ironworker Steelworker 50s 60s
You are bidding on a vintage MSA skullgard hardhat. This is an older model. As it does not have a date stamp and you can tell by the old style MSA logo under the brim. This hat was worn by a craneman at US Steel in McDonald, Ohio. He worked there from 1946-1980. The hat dates from somewhere in this timespan. As an overhead craneman, this hat did not take a lot of abuse and is in pretty nice shape. No cracks, chips or big scratches. Hell, really there aren't many small scratches either! Some small paint marks and scuffs here and there, but this would probably clean up even more with some tlc. Hat is a medium and does NOT include a liner. Liners are available on ebay cheap. Vintage MSA Skullgard Coal Miners Cap Helmet Fiberglass with Carbon Lamp Holder
up for consideration. Interesting collectable made of fiberglass maybe from 1040's. It was made in Pittsburgh Pa. The Candian patent was 1922. This has all the bells and whistles with the"bakelite" lamp holder. The snap on the back closes well. It has only been lightly cleaned. I have left a bit of the reflective tape on the back and removed most as someones name was written on it. The rest can be soaked off with warm water. I dont see any cracks or dents but does have some scrapes all around. There is a lighter discolored area on the bill that looks like(sparks? may have melted and is slightly raised.
