This machine is very simple to operate. And rugged. It detects over a dozen noxious combustible gases including Methane. Propane, Butane, Ethanol, Ammonia, Hydrogen. It has a nice beefy bendable gooseneck to get into tight places. Comes with an instructional DVD too, but I was able to operate it within 5 minutes after reading quick start. I am guessing the oxygen level sensor must need to be recalibrated or replaced. It has a sticker that says last calibration was 11-95 and the next one was due in 96 so it will need to be recalibrated. Looks like this device detects Oxygen.
