This is a vintage power supply sold by RadioShack in the early 80's. I found it in a storage bin. I plugged it in and put it on the voltage meter and it is putting out what it should. About 13.5 V DC. The label says 13.8 but my meter is analog so there is some wiggle room on the needle. Other than some expected dings from its age. The only thing I see wrong with it is the crack in the plastic on/off switch cover. The switch cover is removable and could be epoxied or the switch itself is just fine. Up for sale is a non-commercial power supply removed from its damaged case that puts out 78VDC at 6A. With about 1V p-p ripple. The assembly is wired together, but should be mounted in a case. It has two large transformers, one 14VAC at 15A, the other around 40VAC at 15A. They are connected to a full wave rectifier bridge mounted on a large heatsink. The output of the bridge feeds at 60,000uF 75V(95V surge) capacitor. The power supply is metered for output voltage and current. The final output is through bananna jacks. This unit has operated flawlessly for about 23 years- the advantage of a simple, classic design! You can either use it as wired, or use the parts for your own design. And has both coarse and fine adjustments, as well as connectors on the back for remote sensing, voltage programming, etc. Prior to listing. I tested it with a range of different loads. I observed the voltages and currents that I expected, the meter agreed reasonably closely(though not exactly) with mine and I was able to use the current control to regulate the current flowing, keeping it constant as voltage was increased across the same load. It is in good used condition. With some asset control sticker residue, minor scuffs& scratches etc. As with any used equipment, calibration is not guaranteed.
