Up for auction is a nice used Atkins Series 49 pocket digital thermometer with a red LED display. The probe is a bead type K thermocouple. The connector is the common SMC bladed type, it is also new. The batteries are brand new, includes the case and charger as shown. I wouldn’t exactly consider this pocket size, but it’s shorter than most handhelds. The old school LED feature is nice for working in the dark. It has a three position switch. Center position is off, instant on in degrees Fahrenheit or in degrees Celcius. Calibration was recently checked and found to be accurate requiring NO adjustment. Testing equipment used is certified and traceable. This thermometer's resolution does not read tenths of a degree, reads-60 F to 2000 F or 50 C to 1100 C. The 4 AA ni-cad batteries(2x2packs) are now plug in, no soldering required for future ... morereplacement of same p/n. Batteries charge in eight to ten hours and should not to be over charged more than 12 hours. It doesn’t display properly while charging, but the charge lasts for hours of use. This tool has spent much of its life in a bench drawer, and always used in a respectable manor. The zippered case hold everything including the wall charger so nothing gets lost.
