This Decibel meter is in excellent used condition. The manual is dated January 1966. Even includes the factory calibration card. There appears to be a hairline crack in the left upper dial(hard to see in photos) Untested. But presumed to be working. Came out of a factory, and was probably used to measure industrial noise levels. The leather case is in good condition, the unit appears to be in good condition, and the manual is present, but does show some wear. No Reserve Auction! LARSON DAVIS CA250 PRECISION ACOUSTIC CALIBRATOR PRM900B 3572 PRE AMPLIFIER MORE
The photos show all of the items: Larson Davis parts and cables. I have no way of checking these things. But they do go with the Larson Davis 2900 Sound Level Meter and Real Time Frequency Analyzer that I have listed, or have already sold. The descriptions below should be in the order of the photos in this listing. CA250- Precision Acoustic Calibrator 250 Hz. 114 dB SPL. Calibration seal is intact. This hums when a 9 volt battery is installed. But will not stop humming when the switch is pressed. I believe the switch is broken. There is an audio outlet port on the top, where the metal screen is, that has an o-ring seal, that I believe the microphone slides into to form a seal. You can see this in the two photos of this device. PRM900B 3572- Pre-amplifier. This has a microphone screw connection on one end. And a 5-pin port on the other end ... morethat either an extension cable plugs into or this can plug directly into the pre-amp input ports of the Larson Davis 2900. The extension cables are listed below for this. There are two photos of this, to show each end of the pre-amplifier. In it's plastic case with cap. EXC010- Ten foot extension cable. 5-pin, that plugs into the preamp inputs of the Larson Davis 2900. Male on one end, female on the other, extends the preamp input connection to your microphone to provide distance so that you don't interfere with the readings. There are two of these cables, for a total of 20 feet of extension cord. EXC001.5- 18 inch(1.5 foot) extension cable. Just like the 10 footers above. CBL061- 6 foot cable with a BNC connector on one end and a microphone jack style connector on the other end that will plug into the Larson Davis 2900 ports for"AC OUTPUTS" DC OUTPUT" SIGNAL GEN" and"TACH IN" CBL001- 7 foot cable with BNC connector on one end and the Larson Davis 5-pin pre-amp input port on the other end. This is a professional audio tool. It was used by a professional audio installation company and studio to equalize the room after an install and also for live use. EQ'ing the house after setup at a venue. I bought it from him after he came to my studio to EQ my setup. I used it when I would add treatment. Or move stuff around to make sure my monitors were giving me accurate sound. Worked awesome. The reference mic, that is integrated, is amazing and key to the process.
