Cantilevered Expandable Core Shaft Assembly, Bearings and Air Shaft Mandrel
Here is a nice heavy duty cantilevered bearing assembly with an expandable air shaft/ mandrel. You can use this to make your own unwind or rewind unit for your rolls of product. The cantilevered bearing unit is in great condition and the bearings spin freely and smoothly. The expandable air shaft unit need some TLC as one of the aluminum grip plates seems to be missing and some of bolts were removed like someone was working on it. So the air shaft might need some rebuilding or replacement parts or repair to bring it back to usable condition. The bearing assembly is nicely made and consists of a heavy steel mounting plate(about 12-1/4" high by 13-3/4" wide) that has the bearing unit mounted to one side. It has a 1-1/2" diameter by 6-1/4" long drive shaft on the one end. The expandable shaft looks to be used for about 5-3/4" ... moreto 6" ID cores and it is about 17" wide. I tried to include my tape measure in some of the pictures to give you an idea of the size and dimensions. For sale is a set of small parts that I removed from an ATF Chief 117 offset press. The press had seen its last days and was sold for scrap(alas) But most of the small parts were fine, so I saved all of them to sell to some hapless soul burdened with the necessity of repairing an old Chief. This is an almost complete, but NOT COMPLETE, set of parts. All of the washers are in one bag, all the bolts are in another, and so forth, but they aren't separated or categorized by part number. A varied collection of 46 antique industrial/commercial wooden printing letters and symbols in various sizes. Not the complete alphabet and some duplicates of some letters in Upper and Lower cases. Block sizes are from very large(Capital I or the numeral 1 is 6" x 1 1/2" down to small ones which are 1 1/2" x 3/4) Several are 2 1/2 x 2" There are a number of 4" blocks and a few smaller ones(numerals and $ sign) An interesting grouping of highly collectible items. The grouping weighs about 3 kg so I would charge shipping on actual weight to your destination. All are in excellent condition except a tiny 1 1/4" x 1/2" L which has a small piece missing.

It is drawing number 0311211 rev A and measures 22" x 34" The ink looks like mimeograph ink. It looks like the drawing was originally done in the late 1940's and was made inactive in 1954. I'm not sure what model plane it is for but the drawing is for the plate located at the forward landing gear support. Please see pictures. And comes with hardware to hang from the ceiling. There is a pull chain to turn the sign on or off. The neon tubing is attached to a solid black plexiglas frame that measures 24 x 19 inches. The overall width is 5.75 inches. Each letter is 5" tall. This unit was used by a local business. And there is no visible damage. As you can see from the picture, it is in working order.
