Quincy 230 air compressor pump
This is a quincy 230 compressor pump. Had a 5hp electric motor on it. This compressor was used in my paint shop for years, it was working fine but getting a little oil in the air, so I took it to a shop to have it rebuilt. They took it apart and said getting a new one for $1200 would be the best way to go. The new one is half as heavy as this one, doesn't put out as much air, and is twice as loud. I hate to throw this one away after seeing the quality of it compared to the new one. I have all the parts this auction is for the whole thing, I would sell individual parts if it doesn't sell. Motor went to the machine shop and is re-buildable. The radiator and oil cooler were stolen so I've lost interest in this. Engine is a Continental flathead and the compressor is a two stage rotary. I know nothing about the condition of the compressor pump. With the engine out the compressor is very tongue heavy. I'd trailer it over towing.

The manual contains the installation, operation. And maintenance instructions for the FM-1034 compressor equipment. This particular manual was for a compressor set that was ordered by the Amtorg Trading Corporation for the U.S.S.R. The locations for the sets are listed as Tomsky. Dzerjinsky, and Voroshilov. The original period manual is in used condition as appropriate for the age and usage as an industrial technical reference. Some of the manuals I have listed may contain hand written engineering notes and bookmarks as would be expected. I will be listing many manuals. Air Brush Diaphragm Air Compressor Thomas Industries
Thomas Industries Air Compressor. Diaphragm. Model 600-8. 115 Volt. 3 amp Motor. Oil Less. Unit has a 9 ft hose but only on end has a connector which screws onto the Compressor head. The other end has no fitting and will need to have a connector attached or another hose used. See photos. Very clean unit and runs perfectly. Runs a steady pressure of 35 PSI. To figure the volume I hooked it up to a 5 gallon Remote tank. Unit pumps the 5 gallon tank up to 20 PSI in 55 seconds and up to 30 PSI in 1 Min and 52 seconds. Very impressive for what I call a desktop compressor. Very quiet and smooth running unit with no issues. Very minor paint chipping in a couple of spots. Unit is very clean inside and out. A couple of the photos shows the condition of the internal wiring. See photos. This is an Oil less unit and would work perfect for Air Brushing ... moreand as a desk top compressor. Very little heat and no oil contaminates in the air produced. From the units over all condition it does not appear to have had much use.
