I couldn’t show both channels for all measurements but only because of space restrictions. Both channels are well within spec. The voltage readings speak for themselves(note the ganged output of 70VDC) The current measurements were made using a precision 814 ohm resistor. Applying 8.14 volts across such a resistor should produce a current of.010A(8.14/814) As you can see I tried this on both channels and that’s exactly the result I obtained. Then I increased the voltage by three times to 24.420VDC(see photo) and the current increased to.030A– Spot on! When calibration is required it’s done via the front panel. This Sorenson DCR60-18B is operational in that I have tested it to 14 volts. And 25 amps of load. I do not have a load bank capable of testing it to the limits. However it was removed from working service at the time I purchased it. Unfortunately even as a ham radio operator, I have not found a personal need for this much horsepower. The Sorenson DCR series is a 0- 60V. 0- 18Amp supply capable of being run in parallel operation, if 800 watts of power isn’t enough. It also features a remote sensing feature for monitoring power at your load, rather than at the power supply terminals. The voltage and current controls are also remotely controllable. It also features a remote shutdown circuit for turning the power off and on. Picked this up from surplus. And didn't realize it was 230v. Powered up briefly with 208: everything appears to function fine. Voltage tracked from 0 to over 15V, and agreed within about 60mV with an un-calibrated Fluke 87V shop meter. Knobs feel clean, no gunk or problem there. Current setpoint/CC tested, however due to the non-ideal voltage supply, did not load/torture test. That said I have no worries that this supply will perform(if it weren't 230V I would definitely be keeping it) Internal voltage rails verified. Pictures convey actual condition- front panel overlay damaged on left. But does not affect display or controls. Some minor skuff marks, but no dents or major damage. Corner of back/rear plastic bezel cracked, but case and unit still plenty solid. LED display PCB was a little lose on inside, so reinforced with a dab of ... morehot melt. Missing button.
