Tektronix 422 Oscilloscope- Vintage- Powers On and Operates I am not an expert on this type of equipment. And my retired Air Force engineer has left the area. So, I tinkered with this to the best of my ability(which is limited) and here is what I can tell you. It has its power cord and it powers up. I was able to get light across the screen: The Intensity. Focus, Astigmatism, and Scale Illum functions are working. Both Vertical and Horizontal functions operated on the line or lines that I was able to bring up. The Channel knob functions: one line for one channel and two for two channels. The Variable Calibration and Time/DIV knobs were also functioning. The only problem that I kept having was maintaining the lines with HORIZ ATTEN OR LEVEL knob that runs from AUTO to FREE RUN. I had to adjust this knob very gingerly in order to get a line ... moreread on the screen. As far as testing the instrument itself or calibrating it– this is definitely out of my area of expertise. Where is that retired Air Force engineer when I need him? I am certain that if you are looking at this seriously that you already know how to mess with this unit and calibrate it as well. This Oscilloscope comes with its power cord(old school) one probe in picture and the notebook that contains the entire instruction manual. There are two manuals in this notebook. One is to the Oscilloscope and the other one is for the power supply unit that is attached to the Oscilloscope. If you have any other questions about this unit feel free to contact us. Fluke 96 Series II ScopeMeter in good cosmetic condition. And mostly functional with one little caveat; the channel 2 down button no longer works. So, you can move channel twos trace up, but not down. My work around has been to use channel two in the top part of the screen. If you move it too far up, just reset the scope and it moves to its default position. Other than that little annoyance, the ScopeMeter functions fine in all other respects. Also works fine with an optical to RS-232 cable PM 9080(not included, see my other auctions) So in this auction. Passes all self tests, But does display during self test: Warning the vertical attenuator contacts have exceeded their life expectancy. Please schedule preventative maintenance. I did the calibration test and everything passed. I am also pointing at a very small chip on the outer plastic screen. The LED test shows 4 LEDS Red during the test. The scope is in good working order however it may need to be calibrated. This is the delux model that comes with a built in multimeter. It comes with the power cord. The lead set for the meter and 2 test lead sets. The only issue I found with it is that the plastic cover that goes over the fuse will fall down when the power cord is removed. It's normal for it to slide down so you can change the fuse however it's supposed to stay up and doesn't, not a big deal, just had to mention it. It's guaranteed to be as described.
