This machine is about 17.500lbs so it is a pretty good sized machine that will do quite a bit of work but still easy to transport and get into tight places with. It has road liner tracks that are perfect for driving across blacktop or concrete and not have to worry about doing any damage. Excavator 308Bsr Cat.
This is a good working excavator. I have owned it for about a year. We used it to excavate house foundations. We have put about 500 hrs on the machine. We have serviced it regularly. I installed a new track to one side. The other side is good. We built a flat scraper for the bucket. We built a bracket to hold it on the machine blade. one pull pin to take it off the blade. 4 plow bolts to install it on the bucket. The bucket is in real good shape and has new teeth. I also have the standard teeth. The offset boom is great for close working areas and foundations, as you can dig about 8' wide with out moving the machine. Also great for lifting and placing items into a dump truck or flatbed with out moving the machine. It uses no oil, does not smoke or over heat even in the NM summer. 938 This is a most unusual DVD. It contains 3 films that were originally made to sell what was then corrent items of equipment. The first sposored by a tyre conpany was selling the idea of using gint tyres rather than crawle tracks of big items of plant. I suspect most of the film was shot at the Anaconda mining co. It was obviuosly a fairly dry part of the world and jusging by the was plant was smoking I would think fairly hight. All the plant shown was big and and all was on rubber tyres. Date uncesrtaing but probly the 60s. The second film is how to get the best from driving a grader the American pattern with 4 or 6 wheels. The last one is a real rarlity showing some of the big eartmoving jobs of the 1930s when the dumpers were pulled by 4 wheel tractors and the elevating grader was still running on steel wheels.
