Looking quickly at the lot shows 6 flexible bends, a few horns, some flanges, many adapters, one rotary Sage 301, a HP Detector Mount X-485B, Premier Mixer Duplexer, Ferrotec AO743, a HP Crystal Detector X421A, Sylvania Avalanche Diode Oscillator, PRD 601 Adapter, etc. These were used by a major defense contractor in the DC area, and quite a few were marked as last inspected in 1988. This is working WR-90 waveguide diode detector mount. A IN23RF detector diode is mounted inside, an extra one is included as well. Along with the detector a WR-90 directiona coupler is included as well as two SMA to WR-90 adapters. The detector has a tuning knob that changes the position of a plug near the dinternaly mounted diode. The voltage produced by the diode can be maximized at a given frequency by adjusting this dial. Approx-5dBm@ 10.7Ghz was injected into directional coupler. The detector produced-0.8vdc for this input level once knob was tuned for max. The forward direction coupled port is 10dB down and it read about-14dBm on a HP 8566B SA. The Coupler is made by Narda, the detector is made by Sperry. Mystery WR90 Attenuator / Filter / Coax to Waveguide Adapter / Detector WR-90
Here is a mystery microwave waveguide assembly that contains some useful WR-90 bits. Included is an SMA coax to waveguide adapter. Waveguide filter of which I believe is a 9.3- 9.5Ghz bandpass filter based on some testing, and a short.3" waveguide section. Following that is a precision assembly of unknown function, possibly a precision filter or attenuator. The dial on it is a precision vernier dial made by Brown and Sharpe, the same type you find on a caliper. At the far end is a WR-90 waveguide detector. This is terminated to a BNC connector. Overall the assembly is in good shape. The SMA connector on the waveguide transition has a small scrape on it. But it does not affect the mating of a connector or performance from what I have tested. Winning bidder will receive the entire assembly as shown.
