When the knob is screwed in completely to shut the gate, the valve measures about 4" tall. Valve measures 2 3/8" from one hex to the other. Gate valve also has some sort of release knob. UP FOR AUCTION TWO VINTAGE ANTIQUE GATE VALVES. THEY APPEAR TO BE IN GOOD USED CONDITION. I'M NOT SURE IF THEY ARE BRONZE OR BRASS. PLEASE REVIEW PICTURES AS THEY ARE PART OF DESCRIPTION, YOU CAN BE THE JUDGE. THE VALVES READ 123 1 1/4" MADE IN ENGLAND. THE RED HANDLES HAVE CHIPS IN THE PAINT, WITH A TINY RUST HERE AND THERE, SEE PICTURES. THE METAL TAG READS BS 1952. PLEASE NOTE. ONE VALVE HAS A PIECE OF COPPER PIPE SOLDERED TO IT, SEE PICTURES.
