The paper roll sights are a little opaque but did come a little clearer when I wiped them. The paper roll does move but it's a little wrinkled as if it getting caught but it's not torn. Here is a Jackson Dynamic tube tester model#715 up for a NO RESERVE AUCTION. This Jackson vaccuum tube tester has been dependable and pretty accurate. I have tested a lot of different electron tubes on it. I have not used all the different docks/ ports on the unit but most. All the buttons. Switches& knobs work exactly as they should. This is a nice clean unit and it comes with a photo copy MANUAL and 30+ pages of EXTRA TUBE DATA WITH INSTRUCTIONS on how to test them for the Jackson 715. The copies are what was sent to the owners of these testers for upgrade tube information. The onboard reel offers 100's of different tubes as well. There is even a pic of the inside of the unit. Something was rolling around inside so I took it apart to see what it was and it was just a nut that came loose that holds the tube data sheet in place. Excellent Rare Old Vintage NRI ~NATIONAL RADIO INSTITUTE~ Model 68 Tube Tester
This is a great looking old model 68 tube tester from the old radio tech's estate. Thia had been in a box for years. The metal holder case is great shape with no dents or bad scratches in it. The latch on the lid works perfectly and holds lid tight closed. Hinges are tight and not loose fitted. This still has all 5 rubber feet that are soft and not cracked or broken. The face plate of this is nearly perfect with no scratches or dirt. The gauge is not cracked or broken and it works. The wires of this are not cracked or broken. I tried this out on a couple different tubes and it worked great on them. All knobs are present and they all move as they are suppose to move. The paper orerating instruction book in the lid is not the best of shape. Some pages are torn and loose from the staples. The leather holder stap on the top of the lid is ... moresoft also. It is not broken and stitching around it is not cut. This is just as I got it so I cannot guarantee it. You are buying this as you see it. It is heavy also. 1930 HICKOK AC47 RADIO TUBE TESTER Antique MUTUAL CONDUCTANCE Vtg VERY EARLY Ham
Up for sale is a very early Hickok model AC 47 mutual conductance tube tester with Hickok Multiplex socket adapter. In green velvet padded carrying case with leather handle. This was Hickok's 5th model of tube tester introduced in 1930, and is in real nice cosmetic condition, though please note that due to the age of this Hickok tester I have not plugged it in, so working condition is unknown and am selling as-is and as-found, due to being 80+ years old I'm sure some component testing should be done before powering up. Please refer to photos, this AC 47 is in great shape with only very light wear, the Hickok name plate looks great, meter windows excellent, no cracks or chips to top panel or bakelite chassis enclosure(note that top panel is ingraved with'MSOE' the original cloth covered twisted-pair AC power cord is not frayed ... moreor broken, Insides are also very nice, no obviously burned or broken components, no loose wires or any other damage, the Multiplex socket adapter also very nice. Carrying case lining VG+, the outside of case has some wear to tolex but no major damage, and all hardware present and working fine. If you collect early tube testers, here is a great example of an early Hickok mutual conductance tester.

Test sockets for 4, 5, 6, 7 pin early type tubes, 8 pin octal and loctal tubes and 7, 9 pin miniature tubes. All switches, controls and sockets have been cleaned. Circuit capacitor was replaced. A nice well kept Vintage Knight KG-600B Tube Tester by Allied Radio of Chicago. The Tester does power up. Though I have no tubes to test. The unit has all the instruction booklets, the original Warranty and the original Sales Receipt dated April of 1968. The outer case shows normal signs of use. The latches are solid and work well but show some signs of rust. The tester weighs 11 pounds 8 oz. If shipping is less than indicated on the listing I will refund the difference. Radio City Products Model 309 Dynoptimum Tube Tester Vintage 1940
Radio City Products Model 309 Dynoptimum Test tube tester. Includes 6 sheets of tube data, the operating instructions are glued to the inside lid. The tester powers on and the meter will set to the line adjust point and this will test tubes but it needs repairs. The"LV Control" to adjust the line voltage has dead spots and the"Shunt Control" is flaky at best, all other switches/controls appear to function just fine, when testing known good tubes the meter reading is lower than expected, for some much lower. This is 73+ years old and appears to be all original, other than a couple of marks the test panel and meter show no real wear, the case is very decent for its age with a few tears in the tolex especially on the corners and bottom edge, latches work good and it has a good handle, power cord needs replaced, a very decent ... morevintage tester for its age and worthy of being restored. Vintage EMC Electronic Measurements Corp. Radio Tube Tester Model 213/15 Works!
EMC vintage tube tester measures 8.5 x7.25 x 3 inches. This is one of four vintage tube testers I found in an old house I recently purchased. I had a successful auction of a non working tester last week. I have little knowledge about electronics and was reluctant to use a liquid cleaner on tester. I'm sure it can look a little better. The only physical defect I can see is what I call the top of tube tester. One end has a chip. see photos 10 and 11) I checked 4 tubes from a vintage working Motorola radio and followed the manual instructions very carefully. you can download complete manual from internet. just search EMC tester manual) One tube was questionable on the shorts test. But passed the quality test. I put the tubes back in radio and, of course, it played just fine. Tubes checked were. 35W4. 50C5. 12BA6 and 12BE6.
