Simpson Vacuum Tube A.C. Millivolt/dB meter. Model 717-I. Serial No. 50507 This is a good quality meter with the mirrored scale to minimise parallax error. It has a great range from 1mV RMS. Full scale, up to 300V. As a dB meter. Measuring from-60dB to +50dB, it is great for audio measurements, particularly of valve electronics. The meter is in great condition with the exception of some scuffing of the case. I have refurbished this unit and been using it myself. All components have been checked. The resistors are excellent for their age. Most electrolytic capacitors have been replaced with the exception of the two main supply caps in the can- these measured fine and. As it is impossible to get a direct replacement, I decided to leave them. I fitted a standard IEC mains socket and replaced the broken fuseholder to modern standards. Also a big difference is that this unit outputs up to 20Hz where as the specs on the datasheet say 9Hz. You can download software to change the output rate. The civil defence dosimeters are a standard dosimeter design. This same type of dosimeter would be used anywhere people would have to measure their accumulated radiation dose. The electrostatic dosimeter is a pen-size scientific instrument with an eyepiece you look into at the top of dosimeter and a charging contact at the bottom. Inside the device is a microscopic scale with a hairline indicator. This shows the amount of radiation absorbed by the device since the last time it was reset to zero. The dosimeter is reset by charging it with electricity using with a dosimeter charger. This device fills the inner chamber of the dosimeter tube with a high voltage charge. Advantest R3261C Spectrum Analyser
Spectrum Analyser is used has some minor cosmetic wear and tear such as scuff marks and chipped paint. Included in auction is a brand new amber CRT E2799PDB-Green(Spare CRT) Power cord and operator's manual. Photos show two signals one at 1GHz and 100MHz both at-25dBm. One photo shows 1GHz at-65dBm, analyser requires calibration last calibration was done back in 2007. Installed options are multi-marker and OBW.
