Tektronix 1103 Active Probe Power Supply. Tested. Working Active probes are a necessity when probing high frequency circuits. A typical passive probe in the X10 setting has about 4pF of capacitance. At low frequencies this can be ignored. But at only 100 Mhz, a passive probe looks like a 400 ohm reactive load to your circuit! It only gets worse as the measurement frequency increases. An active probe eliminates this problem and allows you to probe the circuit without loading it down. The 1103 power supply will power several Tektronix probes. Each of the two outputs provide a 50 ohm output that can be connected directly to your oscilloscope. If your oscilloscope doesn't have a 50 ohm input setting. A 50 ohm through terminator can be used.
