1920's Singer Sewing Machine "For The Girls" Great Shape With Box + Accessories.
This little sewing machine looks in great shape-seems to have had little use at all. Has instructions that are dated 1922 and 1926. Includes what is shown in pictures. Including the original box, which obviously has some wear and splits. The crank moves smoothly and the piece is working. Antique Sewing Machine Wheeler& Wilson Deluxe Model made 1872 Manufactured in Bridgeport. Connecticut Wheeler& Wilson is one of the most historically important of the sewing machine manufacturers of the 19th century. Allen B. Wilson invented the rotary hook and four-motion feed still in use today. Wheeler& Wilson machines were also know for their glass presser foot insert that you can see here. After the initial invention of the machine and its improvments. Wilson was not active in the company. It was his partner Nathaniel Wheeler that was the driving force in making Wheeler& Wilson one of the top sewing machine manufacturers of the 19th Century. This is a very unusual deluxe edition of the Wheeler& Wilson curved-needle machine in a half case. The machine itself has silver plated arms and cloth plate. And the case is all ... moredecked out in beautiful burl walnut and maple. The iron work of the legs is ornamented with hand-painted floral and other designs. This machine was meant to be a showpiece, and its beauty still shines through more than 140 years later! I have collected sewing machines for more than 20 and have never seen another one like it. The serial number is 739025. Dating it to 1872. The inside back of the case reads A. Sumner, St.Louis. The extra-fancy case and ornamentation may have been done at the Wheeler& Wilson factory, or perhaps this deluxe version was a special edition put out by this dealer/distributor under licence. There are some cracks in the cover as you can see from the pics. Accessories included as shown. Antique Industrial Sewing Machine "Thread Holder" For Large Spools of Thread
This Industrial Thread(Spool) Holder was found at an estate sale. It was mounted on the work station of a very old industrial Singer Sewing Machine. It is made of very sturdy metal, has some paint chips with surface rust, but otherwise in good condition. As you can see in the photos, it will accomodate 2 large spools of thread. The top bracket height is adjustable, the holes in it can be used to route the thread to the sewing machine being used, or fasten it to a stationary support to make it even sturdier, the spool rests height is also adjustable. The bell shaped base mounting bracket has a screw to disconnect the rod, if you'd like to remove it when not in use. The Thread Holder measures overall approximately 8 1/2" X 3 3/4" X 24 1/4"H, the surface to mount the spool on is 3 3/4" diameter with a rod approximately ... more3 5/8"H. Singer ~ Flat Key for Antique Treadle Sewing Machine old Original red eye
Here is an original Singer Flat key. most Singers used a square ended key( i have one in another auction) but for a shorter amount of time they used this flat key so they are harder to find. the inside shape of the bow I'm told is used to set the needle. if you look in the keyhole of your machine& see a square shape you need a square key if you see a slot like the end of a flat screwdriver. This should work for you.there are a few trying to sell repos of these from stammped steel but I only sell originals. the originals have the beveled edge on the tip the repos do not. White treadle sewing machine nice working condition **Antique**
White brand antique Treadle Sewing Machine. Last Patent Date listed on the machine is March 11. 1890. It has the"kit" with all the different feet/tools necessary for sewing along with a tube of needles. The outside of the cabinet is painted brown. We were always going to strip it to re-finish but never got the time, and now we need to make room for other furniture. The machine works as in when you use the pedal. The needle goes up and down. I apologize- I haven't sewn since I was very young.I cannot figure out how to thread the machine to see if it sews on fabric. These are the side drawers from a Singer Treadle Machine with the cabinet lid used for the top. All from the same machine. This is all fastened together and ready to use. This has very good original finish with great color. All drawers work well. This cabinet measures 16" tall, 12 3/4" wide and 15 3/4" deep and weigh s around 17lbs. Rare Antique Singer Sewing Machine - 1918 Harvester Glove Industrial 105-1
Up for your consideration is this rare Singer sewing machine made in Elizabeth. New Jersey, March 27, 1918. Only 100 were made. The serial number is G6129388 and it is a class 105-1. This is for the head only. The needle bar goes up and down when I turn the balance wheel. The front plate that covers the gears is missing and it needs a belt. It still has some old caked-on oil that I'm sure can be removed; you can see it in the photos in spots such as the brass 105-1 plate on the back. This was used to make harvesters' gloves. Manufactureres of the HOME SHUTTLE SEWING MACHINE" The back platform says"patented July 28, 1868" Has gold leaf scrolled painting along with two beautiful pink roses. There are no cracks or breaks, however it is missing the front platform piece as noted in photo#5. It is approximately 14" x 9 1/2" and weighs approximately 10 pounds. Fresh from an estate sale is a Singer 29-4 sewing machine. Serial# G2730614. This machine would make a great decoration or could be used for industrial sewing. We oiled the machine and wiped the dust off and everything turns freely and seems to function properly. I am including the belt as well. It is dry rotted so it may not work. When the Singer 20 toy sewing machine was introduced in 1910 it was in a league of its own. Although the Singer 20 was of a simple chain stitch design requiring just 40 components. It was very well engineered with a cast iron body. Compared to other toy sewing machines of its era, and indeed since then until the present, it is far more like a miniature ... moreadult machine than a child’s toy. When other manufacturers wanted to enter the same market, many decided to do so with a close copy of the Singer 20. After the end of WW2 several U.K. companies such as Essex. Grain and Vulcan decided to produce toy sewing machines. The first machines from all of these makers very closely resemble the Singer 20. The Japanese made Lead(All Lead) machines were produced from 1931 until 1941. These seem to have been even closer replicas of the Singer 20. For collectors there are 4 main versions of the Singer 20 machines. The original Singer 20-1’s were first sold in 1910 with 4 spoke handwheels. In 1914 the second version had an 8 spoked handwheel and had tension discs added. Then in 1926 numbers were stamped onto the machine to indicate the threading path. In the 1950’s the 4th major change(model 20-10) saw a completely different look to the machine with an aluminum body with rectangular base. A full width stitch plate and an enclosed mechanism. This was also known as the Singer 20 Sewhandy which came in standard black, tan or cream and very rarely in red or blue. 1924 Singer model 66 is truly a Collectable machine. I've used this for some upholstery projects such as sewing cushions.Pillows,inside backs using heavy material with no problem I also used the machine for many quilts that were on display at the local fair. When doing home upholstery I put the machine on my extra sewing table(see pic) and quilts. I used the box base which it comes with at my dinner table. I'm guessing it dates to about the 1915 to 1920 era. The handle wheel has 7 spiral spokes- this may be of interest to some of you who are familiar with these early models. It comes in a cute carrying case(not original I don't think) And has its clamp as well, a small'screwdriver-like' tool, a couple of needles, a small retaining piece of some sort, and a couple of spools of thread. However, that is all that is included- no instruction manual, or other extras. The machine itself is in what I would call'good working condition' with nice smooth action- but as you can probably see in some of the images, it gives evidence of ... morebeing well-used, with wear on the black and chromed surfaces. I was told by the antique dealer I bought it from that this little machine was Singers answer to the popular Wilcox& Gibbs chain stitching machine. But it never kept up to the Wilcox& Gibbs and was used for hat making. T ne machine measures approximately 9" h x 10" w x 6" d. This is a antique 1902 Willcox Gibbs industrial sewing machine Ser. No. A733982 that I have restored. All old paint was removed and parts cleaned then inspected and found in good condition. I painted it black and after new decals where put on. Clear paint was sprayed on to seal and protect the new decals. The machine sews a good stitch and works easy. All nickel plated parts where polished. It has some pitting on the cloth that I clean and polished over. it looks good and works fine. Question welcome.

Rare Serviced Antique 1923 Singer 66-4 Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine WORKS
This is an Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Head. Model 66-4 with Red Eye decals. This is the rare side clamping foot. It uses common Singer low shank attachments. All other Red Eye's had rear clamping feet before the 66-4 was released in 1923. There is no exact date when this change occured. But I have had 66-4's from March or April 1923. The 66 remained a side clamping foot from this point on, but the Red Eye decals were stopped shortly after. Serial number G0281156 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. In December, 2012, I sold G0285208, small world! This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. It sewed 6 layers of denim with ease. The stitch is equal on both ... moresides. Here is HD video of this actual machine working. PLEASE NOTE: The wood stand supporting the machine and the handcrank seen in the video are NOT INCLUDED and are NOT FOR SALE. This machine has a semi-shiny appearance. There is some wear, scratches and nicks. The deck has scratches and blemishes in the finish. There are also some chips and wear along the front edge. The decals have good color with some scratches and flaked wear. The green in the decals on the main body have flaked away on the backside. The bobbin winder decals are worn. All chrome pieces have a very nice appearance. Some parts on the bobbin winder are darker than others. The nose and round plates are in good condition, but the nose plate is a little dark deep in the grooves. The bobbin and throat plates have some fine scratches. There is no manual. Description Antique Singer Sewing Machine Model 12. New Family Gilt and Mother of Pearl 1881 Fiddle Base Treadle What a gorgeous little Singer model#12. Born June 6th of 1881. It has all its mother of pearl inlay and most but not all of its guilt intact. What a great show piece. This is a working treadle with the original owner’s manual in delicate condition. A few needles,its boat shuttles, bobbin, and many attachments included. The hand wheel turns freely. The needle goes up and down smoothly. Both its boat shuttles are in good operating condition. It does make stitches. The base attachment hinges are present but not attached to their rivets. The drawers and lift extention are also in fantastic condition. Although not mint the treadle head is way above average for its 130+ years of age. The treadle cabinet is solid walnut(no veneer) It ... moreis intact. With no wormwood or other structural damage. There are only a few water marks a few edge dings, and a little darkening behind the machine from oiling and a couple other small mars. There is a water spot from someones glass as shown on both the coffin top and table top. The drawers and lift extention are also in wonderful condition. It displays well. The original rectangular coffin top also is in solid condition with only a small chip missing from the logo and on top rim. And a stain or two on top and a check in the top wood. The lock and lid hooks are present and intact. The treadle base still has much of the guilt showing on its emblems. It moves freely, and sports a wood pitman arm which functions well but is not perfect. This will make a great addition to any collection. Nice antique Willcox-Gibbs brand cast iron sewing machine made in the USA
For sale this great antique Willcox-Gibbs cast iron sewing machine made in the USA. This machine is fastened to a solid wooden board base about 14 inches by 10 inches. And about 1 inch thick. It has a side mounted electric Continental Motor uses 110 volts 4.0 amps, and is marked as being model#68. The body of this machine is a round wheel shape, and the motor is connected to a 3 plug socket. Black painted with gold leaf filigree detailing. Machine is about 10 inches long, 6 inches wide, and 9 inches tall. This machine is patented in the USA on March 28, 1882, April 17, 1883, November 22, 1887, February 12,19,26 of 1889, and August 28,1894. Also patented in Great Britain and France. Machine is in good to very good overall condition, showing a fair amount of paint wear, chipping from long usage, handling, and storage. Machine motors shaft is ... moreeasy to turn, the corresponding wheel on the machine is a bit stiffer but does turn. This lacks a double plug cord to actually test the machine so it is being sold in as found condition as described. There is a gold medallion attached to the frontside of the machine base. Rare antique American Gem Toy Sewing Machine
American Gem Sewing Machine w/ Speed Enhancer This is a great looking. And very hard to find antique child size sewing machine. The overall condition is excellent. The black japanned finish is nice with minor losses at the base and along the edges. The typical American Gem cast iron sewing machine has a interesting design base that was meant to resemble a real treadle stand. It is unique among toy sewing machines in this respect. And this design sewing machine is a favorite with toy sewing machine collectors and collectors of early full-size machines as well. It is approx 6" across the legs, and stands about 9" tall. This one has the doubly hard to find speed enhancer built into the design. The sewing plate on this example is marked"Pat. Apld For" And in both of the references on sewing machines I have there is no information ... moreon the actual maker or any further patent information. I would estimate this machine to date from the 1880's or so from the look and decoration. Check out the small bird in the middle, it is in wonderful condition. As for the rest of the decorations. The trim on the base has some loss of decals but overall good condition. The decorations on the arm are faded but still present. Check out the handpainted gold on the speed enhancer. It looks great. This machine sews a simple chain stitch like other early machines from this era, and a special note should be made that it has oil or lubrication holes at the important bearing points, a feature that would indicate this machine was also marketed as a small working machine for seamstresses and not a simple toy. This sewing machine is all-original with no breaks or cracks in the casting and it has not been touched up. I have cleaned and lubricated this machine. It works flawlessly. The needle is missing I believe a Willcox& Gibbs Needle may work. This early sewing machine is sure to be a standout in any sewing machine collection! And a really fine addition of Americana. Early German Childs Toy Sewing Machine, Super Condition, Great Stenciling
You're bidding on an estate fresh German toy sewing machine. The toy is in wonderful original condition. The machine measures 7 1/2" long. 7 1/4" high, and 4 1/2" wide. As you can see the stenciling is super. The one flaw is the drip of the original japan finish used to coat the piece after the paint and stenciling were put on. This drip is pictured and is in the manufacturing of the piece.
