The graph shows how signals change over time: the vertical(Y) axis represents voltage and the horizontal(X) axis represents time. This auction is for a used Tektronix TDS 820 Two Channel Digitizing Oscilloscope. The unit is in nice physical shape with just some blemishes here and there. Unit powers up and occasionally will show'Fail ++Acquisition' after its self-test. Most of the time it passes its self-tests and goes right to the measurement screen. We opened the unit up and measured all power supply test points and we did not see any ripple that would indicate a failing component. The unit was pretty clean on the inside(see last 2 pics) Its last calibration was on 7/19/11. And we were the ones who removed the seals looking for the cause of the Fail++Acquisition. We do not have the style of probe required to test this unit any further. The S/N is B030347. Only what is listed above and/or shown in the pictures below are included in this auction. Item weighs about 27 pounds. For more detailed information we have provided this link to the website. Used condition. We have no way of testing completely. I'm often asked what the difference between the TDS754X series and the TDS744A are. All things being equal if they have the same options. The difference is: TDS 744A: 2 GSa/sec when acquiring 1 channel. 1 GSa/sec when acquiring 2 channels. 500 MSa/sec when acquiring 3 or 4 channels. Good Tektronix Oscilloscope. It doesn't Pass SPC if you run it within five minutes of powering the oscilloscope up. But once it warms up it passes every time. Whether or not it passes or fails there is never anything that doesn't work properly. There is never any DC offset at high sensitivities and trigger levels are correct. HP 54111D 500MHz 1GS/s Digital Oscilloscope, partially working
Partially working oscilloscope. Great for someone who doesn't mind a little tinkering. The scope has(likely) dirty attenuator contacts. Just search"54111D repair" There is a nice tutorial on how to do it. Both channel display a signal, most of the time. See the first picture, sometimes the front-end switches don't make good contact. Usually just switching the vertical sensitivity back and forth will fix the problem. I haven't fully tested the unit. But I'm pretty sure it works. The calibrator pin is bent, but the signal is still good. Trig 1 input BNC is damaged. Please email me with any questions. Everything works, All 4 channels, All knobs. Switches, LEDS. Etc. Passes all self tests, But does display during self test: Warning the vertical attenuator contacts have exceeded their life expectancy. Please schedule preventative maintenance. I did the calibration test and everything passed. I am also pointing at a very small chip on the outer plastic screen. The LED test shows 4 LEDS Red during the test. But as you can see they are lite up and do work. All probe sets are complete. Scope was calibrated Sep 6. 2011. Packed extremely well, alot of soft packing material, damage free arrival guaranteed. Item up for sale is a: HP 54503A 500MHz 4-channel Oscilloscope Probe is NOT included. This is a newer version of the HP54503A's compared to most HP 54503A's in the market. This version comes with front panel probe compensation signal posts. And the ON/OFF switch is moved from back to the front panel. The main board was re-designed by HP as well. Condition: Used. All channels have been tested and verified using a standard signal. In fully working condition. Passed all self-tests as well. 10 pictures are listed to show the cosmetic condition of this unit from every angle. Last calibration was carried out on 1/6/2012. And valid through 1/6/2013.
