Those I have bought and sold on a regular basis over the years but haven’t seen any pop up in surplus lately. I think I may have one of their old spectrometer or spectrophotometers in the warehouse. But it was cannibalized for parts, so don’t get excited about that. I would assume a lamp power supply would be part of the light source for a similar optical/analytical test instrument. BUT, as you can see the power LED comes on amber and the red FAULT LED is on. And there is no Lamp Current readout. I guess it is possible that without an actual lamp to power it is simply showing that it isn’t hooked up correctly. But to be on the safe side I am going to speculate that this one needs some work. As with the voltage control turned all the way up it is just under 1000V indicated(shows 995 but was showing 998 before I flipped the Local/Remote switch or something like that) I dialed it down to an indicated 440+ volts(actually the voltage out appears to be all negative) to protect my VOM and as you can see it is showing a similar voltage output. So I would assume the piece to be functional without having tried it under load. Untested other than as described. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However.
