The larger one measures approx. 3 1/4" tall, and approx. 10" around. It weighs over 2 1/2 pounds. Great display items for a mining collector. Please note these are not perfectly round. They are rusted and well used.

Old Mining 15" Armstrong Spud Track Wrench with Welded On Attachment
I've always heard these called spud wrenches. They are also called track wrenches. The one end has a regular open ended wrench that fits a certain sized nut and the other is pointed to align the track holes and plated that bolt them together. I finally could make out ARMSTRONG on the wrench. This one has what looks to be a hand forged? attachment welded on top of the end with another nut size. It may have been factory made but is very crudely made. The wrench is just a little over 15" long and the open end wrench is 7/8"

Up for auction is a 4" Keene triple stage sluice gold mining dredge with T80 compressor. 20ft suction hose& swivel nozzle(used half of season) Honda gx160 5.5hp, keene pump, jet flare, gray pontoons(no holes or leaks) Air reserve tank and air lines not included. I bought this dredge from a guy in Arizona for the 2012 gold mining season. I ran it the whole season and it worked perfect! The only reason I'm selling it is because I now am running a bigger dredge and do not really use it anymore. The suction hose you see in the pic is not the hose that is on the dredge. Half way through the 2012 season I purchased a new 20ft section of suction hose. The hose in the pic is a 15ft section and also comes with the dredge(it works fine I just wanted 20 ft. Copper Blasting Cap Powder Punch Dynamite TNT Non-Sparking Mining
I found this in some old supplies at a mine in Central Montana. I'm not sure of the age. It could be fairly new(last 50 years. The powder punch is used to poke a hole in the 1st stick of dynamite to insert the blasting cap and fuse before it is inserted in the blast hole. The requirement is that it be non-sparking metal, usually brass or aluminum. I had never seen one made entirely of copper. Because of the tape on the handle I can't tell if this is homemade or manufactured. Still it is a nice piece of mining memorabilia.

Rare Antique HARD-BOILED Bullard-Davis Salesmans Sample Miner Safety Hat Mining
This miniature. Antique, Hard-Boiled miner's hat, was produced by the Bullard Co. established in San Francisco in 1898. This company, sold everything from miner's carbide lamps and mining equipment, to gold and copper miners. Interestingly, the Hard-Boiled hat was so named because of the steam used in the manufacturing process. The original Hard-Boiled hat was made of steamed canvas, glue and black paint. This Bullard-Davis salesman sample Hard Boiled hard hat, of the same construction, is complete with stitched trim, a leather interior sweat band and a net suspension liner with tie string. Doll-size, it measures about 6 1/8 long x 4 3/4 inches wide and is approx 3 inches in height. The circumference, as measured along the inside band, is 11.25 inches. Before Bullard designed this protective hat(circa 1919) miners wore cloth hats ... morethat were similar to baseball caps. With the addition of a built in suspension, the Hard-Boiled Hat became the first commercially-available, industrial head-protection device. Edward W. Bullard filed a patent application for the miners’ safety hat on May 21, 1928 that was awarded as patent No. 1,776,249 on Sept. 23, 1930. A second application by Edward W. Bullard covering the internal suspension device was awarded as patent No. 1,770,376 on July 15, 1930. In 1933 construction began on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California. This was the first construction site in the U.S. where construction workers were required to wear hard hats while on the job site. This sale is for a off-highway 7000 + gallon water truck. The truck was bought used and then remanufactured from the ground up in 1989. At that time it was also built into a water truck. This water truck has very low hours/miles on it since it was built. Two of the photos show this truck working on a earth fill dam.
