I am not overstating it when I say that this little pump and the things I did with vacuum pressing revolutionized my business. Vntg. Hirsch Werkzeuge W. Germany Veneer Saw with Decal Free S/H
This saw's short. Curved bladed is 3" long, appears to have 16 TPI teeth(not certain) and is double sided for long use. A very scant set to the teeth on the flat side of the blade lets the blade stay flush when used with an edge guide. Offset hardwood handle(designed for right-handed use) allows for plenty of knuckle clearance when cutting on flat faces. Primarily for cutting veneer with the grain, the saw is typically is used in a pulling fashion.

This is a very nice little Burl it has its flaws but that always brings deeper colors the wood pecker Pok holes are shallow. The spikes on this Burl are incredible there are sections that are white but still very firm it is been my experience that when a Burl is deformed and has holes that go into it not through it rich deep colors and grains result from this the Burl list 12 lbs. 9 oz. that has been brought to the upper drying room so could be lighter for shipment. Measurements are shown so you can make the decision on how you want to measure. see photos)

This is a nice little Burl the cut off branches and mean tree show a dark red center with a very shallow woodpecker pothole less than half inch in depth. Both indicate good color engravings on the inside. It is kind of a potbelly and shaped no white sections. I have the size of 15" x 15" x 13" and approximately 28 pounds. This Burl has been moved to the upper drying room and could be lighter upon shipment. See photos to judge your own size and conditions.

This is a very nice little Burl. It's deforming by woodpecker pok's and nature. It has some white portions but are still firm and usable. It's been my experience when a Burl has deformities and injuries(Pok holes) it produces deeper grains and colors choose the size by viewing the pictures I have 15" x 17" x 11" see photos) The approximate weight is 23 pounds but has been moved to the upper dry room and could be lighter upon shipping.

I have downsized my shop and I have to reduce some clutter. Somewhere along the way I picked up a binder with paper backed veneer samples for a company called Piant Wood. Each sample is 8" by 10" with three holes punched on the left to fit in a binder. Each has the wood type printed on the bottom right. They are all wood veneers with paper backing. This is a collection of 4 by 9 inch veneer sheets of exotic woods from around the world. Each one has a paper label on one side giving the details of each tree and sample. I am unsure of the age of this. But my guess is that it is from the early 1960's.
