Ingersoll Rand 3/4 in IR261 -Torque Tested! 1200? Ft Pd! Air Impact Wrench
Up for sale is a Ingersoll Rand IR261. One of their best pistol type 3/4 inch impacts. Just about the industry standard for a affordable 3/4" inch impact I tightened the 2 inch torque tester nut a couple times to over 1200 ft pounds. Then loosened it. They list 1100 as the max torque for this model but they always seem to go higher on the scale than that. I tested this with 110 PSI at the wall, by the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI, or a hair higher. It is not all beat up either! Sure it has some scratches and wear, but for one of these it looks pretty good. See the pictures for the cosmetic condition. It has the ring style socket retainer. There is no guesswork here. I use a Skidmore Wilhelm Torque tester. The industry standard. I'm sure you can find others but have they been tested on professional equipment and ... moredo they have a 30 day SATISFACTION GUARANTY? This one does! I tested this with 105 PSI at the wall, with a 1/2 inch hose and a 3/8 NPT fitting. By the time it reaches the impact it maintains 90 PSI, or a hair higher. It is not all beat up either! Sure it has some scratches and wear, but for one of this vintage it looks pretty good. See the pictures for the cosmetic condition. Yes some of the 1/2 inch impacts claim higher bolt breakaway torque. but try it on a 2 inch nut. It may pull it off but it's awful hard on the smaller impact. 3/4 guns are meant to take it! There is no guesswork here. I use a Skidmore Wilhelm Torque tester. The industry standard. Craftsman Torque Tested 3/4 in dr -199850 - Air Impact Wrench - Good Piece
Up for sale is a Craftsman 3/4 inch drive 199850 impact wrench. These are not torque monsters but will beat any 1/2 in drive impact on larger bolts all day and last ten or 20 times as long as they are made for the heavy labor. It has a show of use and performs well. This model as well as many other Craftsman impacts have CERAMIC BALLS as a silencing mechanism. They rattle when you move the impact this is normal and good. I have had bad feedback. Returns, etc over this. They do belong. I'm sure you can find others but have they been tested on professional equipment and do they have a 30 day SATISFACTION GUARANTY? Ingersoll Rand heavy duty ¾” impact tool. Model A size 4/0. Using a ¼ inch air hose it runs very smoothly and hammers but does not hammer with much force. This tool appears to work OK but I do not have sufficient air to properly test. It has a ½ inch airline adapter installed at this time. I think it requires a ½” airline to run correctly. The wrench does not have a socket retaining ball. There is a hole thru the end of the shaft that may have been used to retain the socket. I will guarantee the tool is not broken but cannot make further guarantees. No return unless it has broken parts or is not described properly. Up for sale is a Chicago Pneumatic 3/4 inch drive impact wrench. CP772. It has a show of use and performs well. It is tested to remove bolts torqued to 1000 ft pounds. It had no trouble with those. tightens them to that torque too. It just takes longer. These are in my opinion by far the best 3/4 in drive impact for use with a 3/8 hose. They are designed for it. Most 3/4 in impacts lose about 2 to 300 ft pounds when used with a 3/8 hose. This will perform better with a 1/2 in hose but does fine with the 3/8! I put a blow gun in the fitting and it did turn on the little air provided in both directions. Sold as stated in unknown full capacity abilities as I have no way to test it beyond what I stated.
