Thern Machine Co USA Chain Hoist 1 ton Differential 10'-20' 2000 lb Chain Fall
I inherited this from my Dad a few years ago. We spent a lot of time with this in his garage working on the $100 cars which we would fix up and he would drive for a very long time before getting another one. We had to add a huge beam up in the rafters to hold the weight. The heaviest motor we pulled was a 460 Ford. This hung on the garage wall for all the 43 years he lived there. There is no replacement for the old East Coast steel. Last year my basement flooded where I had this hanging and there is a bit of surface rust from the moisture. There is no physical damage other then the minor rust factor. I good old fashioned grease job and some use and it will look like it use to. I do not have a garage and I drive VW Vanagons which has the motor in the back. You have to use a picker to pull the motor or just drop it out the bottom. This has been modified into an adjustable crane so that I could move it in or out of my shop. it can be lowered to 82" max height and raised to about 12' high.
