Cam-Hi Safety Cap" Vintage Construction Hat. Dated 1969 both on the inside label and also in the Manufacturer's mark on inside front visor. Color: Green. Own a piece of"Iron Head" History! This Construction Hard Hat has seen a lot of hard work and the evidence can be seen in the scuff and scrape and scratch marks from usage. Which adds to it's desirability for the Collector! Size: Medium(6.5-8) with inside adjustable headband for a comfortable fit. The dirt and dust appear very removable(especially with a little cleanser) but I will leave that up to the Buyer/Collector, As some collectors love the provenance. This is a great full brimmed Vanguard aluminum hard hat made by Welsh Manufacturing Co. The adjustable internal suspension is in good shape. But does have some minor light wear. The helmet itself does some show signs of wear, with a couple small dents and pits. It measures 12 1/4" long and 10 3/4" wide.

For bid is the OLD B. F. McDonald. Hard hat pictured. Stamped with Hat is dirty and needs cleaned up, and new supension. Cleaning wont be hard, notice the"clean" spot where I took photo of hallmark.all I did was wipe it off with a wet, soapy rag and rinsed so I could show makers info, but you might want to give it a polishing if you want it to shine real bright. Otherwise there are no dents or other problems. Web suspension unusable, is dry rotted and mice/rodents of some type have gnawed the leather band. Attached to webbibg was a Contractors ID badge in good condition seen in last 2 photos. Badge is included. This"Early" hat dates back to as early as the 1940s. This hat was picked at a Central West Vir5ginia Estate sale. I found it hanging in the barn. I was told the old Gent that had owned it had worked in the oil fields ... moreearly on in WV and had also tended wells for PENNZOIL Oil Co. later in life. He was in his 90s when he passed.
