Here's a Bullard Hard Boiled hard hat with leather banded suspension. Not sure what exact type of suspension this is so you're the expert on this one. The hat has three clips. One centered on the rear and two on the front, my guess was to hold a headlamp band. There are bits of decal on each side of the hat, there was an emblem there at one time which is all but gone now. No dents or dings to speak of, overall it's in pretty nice shape for it's age. I'll let the photos tell the story. Thanks for looking!

This auction features a very nice Mine Safety Appliances Company(MSA) McDonald T Aluminum Hard Hat. The hat has been factory painted a light gray/silver/green color on the outside surface. And the inside is the natural aluminum color. The hat's sticker has patents listed up through 1963. The liner adjusts from 6-3/4" up to 7-5/8" This hard hat is in great shape. With some light scratching and one small ding on top, all indicative of use on the job. The liner is in wonderful condition, is fully functional, and appears to be all original. The hat still retains its original MSA sticker on the inside back, which states compliance with the US Dept. of Agriculture 1959 Forest Service Specification, and it is in great condition. This is for a very nice. Vintage construction helmet. These aluminum helmets are more desirable due to their sturdy nature and nice aesthetics. This one has a couple red paint drips and some green paint spots over the surface. I did not clean it, but am sure that some slovent or paint thinner may clean it up. The liner is complete and shows very little wear if any. The plastics are not broken. Here's a great vintage aluminum hard hat. Made by B F McDonald of Los Angeles. CA. It is in pretty good conditon with a lot of wear on the top(see photo 4) but no big dents. Has its original liner(a little grubby) one size fits all adjustable. One of the best things about this hard hat is the vent holes which make it much more comfortable to wear in hot conditions and a little lighter. Outside measurement of 12 1/2" Inside measurement of 9" on metal. Lots of uses.

Vintage Aluminum Copper E.D.BULLARD Hard Boiled Hard Hat
This is a great vintage hard hat made by E. D. Bullard Co(Hard Boiled) This hat I believe is made from copper as it is copper in color. However the only other ones I see that are similar to it are made from aluminum. It is possible that this hat is aluminum and was painted a copper color however I don't think so simply because the coloring appears to go through when looking at any scuff marks on the hat. This is a used hat and as such there are some scuff marks throughout. Look at the pictures for a more detailed description. Also, on one side it says in black stencil" THIBAULT" There is the original rubber and nylon adjuster on the inside however someone replaced the string(that may have been missing) with a shoe lace. There is also the original sticker on the inside from the manufacturer. The sticker states that it is adjustable ... moreto fit a size 6 1/2 to a size 7 5/8.
