1995 Chevy Forestry truck with Vermeer Chipper
I have a 1995 Chevrolet forestry truck. The truck has a 366 motor with about 55000 miles. It has a kubota pony motor with a 55ft boom. The truck has a chip box that dumps like it should. The truck has some new hoses and parts. Great tires all the way around. Regular maintenance has always been done. I also have a 1998 Vermeer chipper for sale. It is a 1230 A with a Perkins diesel motor. Chipper has new blades and used sets to go with it. The chipper has around 2000 hours and runs great. This Whitfield F-85 tree seedling planter was owned and maintained by the U.S. Forest Service. In the winter of 2014 during the off season this planter was completely serviced and refurbished with with many new parts such as all new foamed filled tires. The coulter disk, bearings, hydraulic hoses, all moving parts greased, plus more. Another ranger station was closed so their nearly new tree planter was moved to this ranger station and this planter was sold. It has a full cab, new foam filled tires, crank axle system. plus more. It comes with a 2" trailer hitch coupler adapter that pins to the front of planter for towing on the road with a truck. I forgot to photograph the hitch coupler. The new foamed filled tires are a pair of 11-L-15SL and a pair of 5:00-15SL. The brand new coulter wheel measures 31" in diameter. We had it mounted to a standard Komatsu PC-220 excavator with a priority valve. We did not have a power pack and it worked fine. We just don't need it anymore.

This is the more common smaller version that runs a 1500 meter spool of cotton thread. Just tie the thread to a branch. Reset the counter to zero, start walking and when you stop check the counter to see the distance in meters.

I have pulled the string from the box and it appears to work fine with the measurement dial showing the distance and the reset dial works good as well. This was part of my forestry kit in the 90's- don't remember the brand but it came from Sweden. Measures 4 1/2" X 2 1/4" and works great. Legs fold into the body so it carries easily in a shirt pocket(photos not included) I have a box of large 1:10.000 air photos in stereo pairs that could be sent with the stereoscope but would require additional postage.
