This vehicle is not some slapped together stepvan but rather a 1995 Wyss Catering truck out of California. If you know anything about these trucks. Wyss is the tops having built these since the 1950's. Unit has a full 36" grill, three exhaust fans, cold plate fridge, external facing hot and cold boxes, two waste tanks, freshwater tank four sinks and so much more. Now. With every one of these trucks, there is good and bad. We have worked the truck for some time and know both. GOOD- New frontend work- $2500(Jan 2013) New Brake work- $700(july 2013) All new gas lines custom made ... morefrom propane tank to grill. Fryer& steam table- $2800(May 2013) New Royal fryer(may 2013) $1000- New parts such as grill. Hardware, doors, windows, wipers, etc to get truck up to code- $3000- Onan 6500 gas generator with remote start wired inside truck. Also mounted on custom rear frame and to second gas tank- $3500(Jan 2013) Sinks plumbing all redone with grease trap addition and two water pumps as needed for TN health dept- $1000- Two new interstate 6v batteries and new outlets/wiring for overnight charging- $1200- Rust under truck was removed. And coated with rust remover paint to protect underside from elements- $500. BAD- Steering Column Broken by previous owners. Lock replaced. Outside cold box power for fan disconnected. Its a 2007 Ford CVR with only 60.000 miles on it. The length of the whole truck is 17ft. and stands 12ft. outside 9ft. inside. 1983 Chevy Step Van FOOD TRUCK
I am selling a 1983 Chevy Step Van food truck. I bought this truck in Winston-Salem. NC and drove it home to Nashville, TN where I had it painted. When I bought it, I had to change the oil and bleed the brakes, and it drove to Nashville without any problems whatsoever. The only known issue is that the fuse for the odometer/speedometer is out. The odo reads 200.000 miles, but this is obviously lower than what it actually is. Despite this. It has never given me any problem at all. I've only driven it locally since I purchased it so I haven't worried about getting the speedo/odo working. As the pictures show. This truck was a firehouse box truck that never got much use. We converted it last year and it runs great and only has 11.800 miles. There is a counter that fits onto the windows for service. There is also a 10,000 watt Generac XG electric start portable generator that attaches onto the truck in a large metal box.
