Vintage Set 4 Heavy Duty Industrial Bassick 6" Cast Iron Casters Swivel Plate
Here is a great set of industrial. Very heavy duty application, cast iron casters. The wheels themselves are cast iron, 6" in diameter, and 2" wide. They are each mounted on a swivel plate, the plate measures 5 1/2" x 5" Each caster stands about 7 1/2" in height. I can see Bassick 6 on each caster, and it also looks like the number 8261 is imprinted on the wheels. These casters are definitely for a heavy duty application. Each caster weighs 11 lbs. As can be seen in the pictures, there are scratches in the gold finish on each caster, all in the same places, but this, in no ways, impacts the function of these casters. There is also a bit of rust in some areas, but once again there is no impact on performance. All of the casters move freely on the attached swivel plates. Vintage Industrial Factory Cast Iron Swivel Casters Bassick #477 Huge 3-1/2"
Four cast iron industrial Bassick casters acquired at an industrial salvage auction. The Bassick Caster Company manufactured casters in Bridgeport. CT and is no longer in existence. These casters are huge and from what I have learned, I believe they probably came from an industrial factory cart. The iron wheels measure 3-1/2" in diameter and each caster weighs well over 6 pounds. They all roll and swivel as they should. Each has a grease fitting and the ball bearings can be seen under the edge of their enclosures. They are marked in more than one place with the manufacturer's name; and the part#477 is prominently stamped on one end of the bases. There are other numbers in various places which are likely part numbers for other components. There is heavy patina/rust and minor visible wear to the wheels. They are also extremely dirty. ... moreI haven't done anything to them as I didn't know where to begin and didn't want to disturb the patina if that was going to be the desired finished product. Up for auction are this set of 4 cast iron swivel machine age cart wheels. 3 are marked CURRIE 1 is unmarked on the bottom. But is the same size height and width which is 1 1/2' They all came from the same estate.There is some rust and pitting.They could use a cleaning there is some grease and oil.The unmarked does not have bearings I don't know if it did originally or not, but it seems to be in good working order. 4 Vintage Swivel Casters Noelting Faultless Steel Hooded Ball Grip Neck Stem
This auction is for a set of Four Vintage Swivel Casters. The model is Hooded Ball, the neck is Grip Neck each caster measures nearly 4" tall, the ball-bearing swivel is about 1" in diameter. The casing is steel(holds a magnet when applied) not sure what the ball is made of, maybe hard rubber, does not seem to be Bakelite. Each ball is stamped Noelting-Faultless Evansville, Ind. PAT. PENDING, 9C, each caster has a different number letter combination.

Set of 5 Vintage Industrial Metal Swivel Casters/ Cart Wheels
Set of 5 vintage industrial swivel casters or cart wheels. 4 are marked"SWIRL ROLLERS" and are made from cast iron. One is marked"DIPPSY DOODLE" and made from steel. All 5 are all 3 inches around at the wheel and about 3 inches tall from the mounting plate. One of the"swirl rollers" has a big piece broken off on its wheel. I think who ever was using these used Dippsy Doodle for a replacement for its. All turn and roll very nice and smoothly. And none others are broken or are missing parts/pieces. Vintage Lot of 4 Bassick 3 inch heavy duty swivel casters
Here we have a set of four swivel three inch bassick hard rubber caster wheels. They do show surface rust which does not affect function. The mounting plate on one of the wheels is bent in one corner. Just needs a bit more elbow grease to straighten than I have(right on a mounting hole, plate is flt except the edge of the corner) These are very heavy duty and heavy(2 1/2 lbs apiece! not sure what the load rating is, if I had to guess, probably in the 4-500lb range. 4 Large Vintage 6" Cast Iron/Forged Steel Industrial Swivel Caster Wheels Bond
Wheels are 6" x 2" and the whole unit stands 8 1/2" tall. Bases are 7 3/16" x 5 1/2" with the bolt holes being 5 1/2" x 4" center of hole to center of hole with the holes being 9/16" diameter. Mounting plate is 1/2" thick. There is a grease fitting to grease the bearings in the swivel mechanism and another grease fitting to grease the wheel itself. They all roll and swivel nicely and could use cleaned up some. I usually hit these with a pressure washer then grease them up again but it is way too cold outside now to even think about that. They are sound and solid with no wobble and no chips or cracks and will handle a heavy load. Signed BOND Manheim Pa. They weigh around 21 1/2 lbs each-some slightly more-some slightly less. Bond has been in business for around 100 years and they don't make ... morethis quality anymore as far as I am concerned. Back when these were made they usually used roller bearings but these are still that tight that I cannot see under the lip to see if they are ball bearing or roller bearing.
